When we buy a house, we all want to have nice neighbors, because most of us think that it is helpful to live with some good neighbors. But what kind of neighbor is good? The answers are different from people to people. Here are my answers. 

First, it is very important to respect each other. If our neighbors try to know more about our life, how will we feel? He or she may also talk with others about our life. Do you want to live with him or her any more? The answer is—No. We will feel very sad to have this kind of neighbour and move away quickly. 

Next, a good neighbour is always ready to give us a hand when we need him or her. For example, if we are not at home, our good neighbors will watch our house for us. 

Finally, a good neighbour should love the environment(环境) . He or she never puts rubbish(垃圾) here and there. Good neighbors should keep the place clean, because the good environment can make us comfortable(舒服的) and happy.

I think we all should learn to be good neighbors, and I also hope everyone will have good neighbors and live a happy life.

The year is 2045. A group of robots take part in the World Cup. Robots? Is that possible? Many scientists believe it can happen, because there are already robots that can play football. Of course, today's robots don't just play sports.

Early robots could do easy things, mainly in factories. Humans operated (操作) them. However, today's robots can operate on their own. Some can only move around a little, like the robots which can sweep the floor, but others, for example, Honda's ASIMO can do much more. He can run, climb, dance, and even play football.

Then there are robots which look like humans. These robots have faces and can show feelings. Such robots can learn new things, and show us how they "feel". Actroid -DER is one of them.

Scientists are also making robots that look and act like animals. At NASA, scientists are making a robot snake which can get into holes (洞). One day, it may help scientists look for signs of life on Mars. There are other animal robots. The frog-bot can jump over things. The sticky-bot can walk up walls. There's even a robot called Water Runner that can walk on water.

But can a robot football team ever play as well as a human team? Many scientists think so. Anything is possible. One day, they may even be world champions (冠军)!

Today is Jenny's grandma's birthday.

Jenny is making a birthday card for her. She is using paper and crayons(蜡笔) to make the card. She is putting a picture of Grandma and herself on the front. And her family are writing something for Grandma in the card.

Once, there were two hard- working children, Che Yin and Sun Kang. They love reading, but their families were poor and couldn't buy lamp oil(灯油) for the children to study at night. How did they get over the difficulty? Here are their stories.

 Che Yin's story began on a hot summer night. He saw fireflies (萤火虫) flying and an idea came into his mind. He caught some fireflies in a cloth bag and hung it up (悬挂) as a light. He spent all of his summer nights reading like this.

 The other story happened in winter. Sun Kang woke up on a cold night. He saw the moon shine so brightly on the snow and it made the night brighter."I can read with the light!" he thought . So he took his books outside and read, even though it was very cold.

 Later, Che Yin and Sun Kang became successful. Their stories were turned into the Chinese words nangying yingxue. Difficulties can't stop young minds from learning. If there is a will, there is always light on the road to knowledge.

"The best mianshi lies in China and the best Chinese mianshi lies in Shanxi." Can you imagine that in North China's Shanxi Province, there are over 280 kinds of mianshi, or cooked wheaten(小麦的) food?

 Shanxi people's love for mianshi is closely connected to the local natural conditions. The dry weather on mountains and plateaus(高原) makes it a good place for growing wheat. Therefore, as time passing by, Shanxi people not only developed an eating habit for mianshi, but also invented different ways of cooking wheaten food.

 Among the many Shanxi mianshi, the sliced(削的) noodle is the most famous one. It is a noodle made with a special knife. When making it, the cook needs to hold the dough(生面团) with one hand, while fast slicing the noodles into the soup pot with the other hand. The length and thickness of each sliced noodle are required to be the same. Experienced cooks can even turn the way of slicing noodle into an excellent show. They can slice 200 noodles in one minute, and make sure each noodle falls exactly into the soup pot 1.5 meters away.

 In Chinese food culture, people like to give special meanings to the food. For example, they would have a bowl of Changshoumian on their birthdays, carrying good wishes for health and long life. In many places, the tradition is to serve jiaozi to a person leaving home, and noodles to a person returning home, as both foods have their own important meanings.
