Many people are warned by the worsening climate crisis (气候危机). But not everyone would like to make lifestyle changes to further protect the Earth. A survey by Kantar Public, a global consulting (全球咨询) and research business, invited 1,000 people in 10 countries including the US, UK and Spain to give their opinions on actions for environmental protection.

Nadia Clarke, Seventeen-year-old,talks about her African experience.

Last summer I got the chance to spend a month helping out in a hospital in Africa. I had one year left at school, and I was interested in studying medicine at university. I thought it was the perfect chance to get some experience and to see if I really wanted to be a doctor.

It was a month that changed my life. I saw a world and it is very different to mine in so many ways. I was surprised at how poor so many of the families were there and how difficult their lives could be. But I was also surprised at how actively people face their everyday lives. The way they came together and helped each other touched me a lot, and I think a lot of us here in the UK have forgotten it. I think many of us don't get to know how lucky we are.

My work in the hospital was hard. I spent a lot of time cleaning floors and taking temperatures, and I also got to spend some time giving medicine. And I got the chance to talk to some doctors and ask them about their work. I saw some truly awful things in the hospital, but none of them changed my mind about being a doctor. In fact, they only made me more certain to do medicine!

When I finish, I know clearly what I'm going to do: I want to work for an international group like the Red Cross and spend my life helping people all over the world. I can't wait to get started.

Betty wanted to see the Beijing Opera. So Lingling {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (提出) to take her to Lao She Teahouse. They {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (喝) tea and watched an opera. It was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (困难的) to understand the words, but the actors and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (女演员) were excellent. They only {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(计划) to watch for an hour, but in the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (末尾), they stayed there for three hours. Betty thought it was interesting— that was the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (主要的) thing. However, Betty had no {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(主意) who Lao She was. Lingling said Lao She is a great {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (作家). He is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (特别地) famous for his play Teahouse. Betty and Lingling had a great time there. 

Saving the Earth shouldn't be so difficult if we can do the following things. 

First，we should take our time. There is no need to hurry like doing 100 things a day to save the Earth. Let's start from easy things. For example，we can walk or ride a bike to work. 

Second，we should open the windows more often. Don't turn on the air﹣ conditioner all day. In this way，we can have the fresh air and save the energy. 

Third，we should enjoy cooking at home and having meals at our dinner table. So we can use our own bowls and chopsticks，not the plastic ones. 

Fourth，we should spend our weekends and holidays in the park playing games or just riding a bike around. 

Fifth，we should learn how to make good use of old things in the house，in the garden

Lastly，no one really has a mountain or a sea. Don't throw rubbish here and there. 

All in all，saving the Earth could be easy. Let's take actions to protect the Earth.
