Life is full of miracles. They surround us every day. One of these miracles happened to me recently. I was filling my car's tank at a local gas station. It was only 10 A.M. but I already felt tired. It was a cloudy, gloomy and rainy day and I hadn't slept well the night before. After I paid for the gas I turned my car towards the main road. I looked right and left then my brain sent the signal for my foot to push on the gas pedal but nothing happened. Shocked, I shook my head to clear it and gazed down at my foot.

      Just as I did, though, a truck rushed past my car doing 60 mph. My weary eyes hadn't seen it when I had looked just 2 seconds earlier. If I had been pulling out when I should have been, my little green car would have been smashed and I would have most likely been killed. I sat there for a long time quietly thanking God for sparing my life before pulling out on the road and heading home. This time both my brain and foot worked perfectly.

      As I looked back on that moment later I still couldn't understand it. Did God prevent my brain's signal from reaching my foot? Did an angel hold my toes to keep them from pressing on the gas? One question kept coming back into my mind as well: why? Why did I get this miracle? Why did God spare my life this day? Finally, I felt the answer forming deep within my heart and mind. I heard the words coming from my soul saying: “You still have more to do. Your work is not done yet!”

      Richard Bach wrote: “Here is the test to find if your mission on Earth is finished: if you are alive it isn't.” Wake up each day then knowing that your mission isn't done yet. You have more love to share, more people to help, more kindness to give. You have one more day to be the miracle God meant for you to be.

    Paul and Jason were brothers who lived and worked on neighbouring farms. For 35 years they farmed side by side, sharing machinery and goods as needed, without a single problem.

    However, one autumn, things changed. It began with a tiny disagreement about a horse, which grew into a major difference. The difference led to angry words, followed by weeks of silence between the two brothers.

    One morning there was a knock on Paul's door. He opened it and saw a builder holding his toolbox." I'm looking for a few days' work," the builder said." Are there any jobs here I could help with?"

   "Yes," answered Paul, extremely pleased to see the builder." I do have a job for you. Look at that farm across the creek(小溪). That's my brother's farm. That creek used to be a grass field, but last week my brother dug a path from the river and made the creek. But I'll go him one better. See that pile of wood? I want you to build me a fence, two metres tall, so 1 won't need to see him anymore."

    The builder said thoughtfully." I think I understand the situation and I'll be able to do a job that pleases you."

    Paul had business in town that day and left the builder to his work. When he returned, the builder had just finished his job. Paul was shocked. Instead of a fence there was a bridge, stretching from one side of the creek to the other.

    As Paul stood on the bridge, staring in amazement, his younger brother Jason, came across, and took Paul's hand." You are a good man to have built this bridge after all I've done," said Jason.

    Then, Paul, with tears in his eyes, said to the builder who was packing his bag to go," Thank you so much. Please stay. I have much more for you to do."

   "I'd love to." the builder said quietly," but, I have many more bridges to build."

Song Lian was a famous litterateur (文学家), historian and thinker in the late Yuan Dynasty (朝 代) and early Ming Dynasty.

Song Lian loved reading. But he was from a poor family, he could not afford to buy books. He borrowed books from others and returned them on time. He never broke his promise. One day, Song Lian went to borrow books from Mr. Liu who was a rich man. But he never lent books to strangers easily. Mr. Liu thought Song Lian was a hard-working man so he agreed to lend Song Lian a book. Song Lian told Mr. Liu he would return it in three days. Mr. Liu thought for a while and said nothing. Finally, Song Lian borrowed the book home.

After he returned home, Song Lian couldn't wait to start reading. He didn't go out to play and stayed up to read.

Finally, on the third morning, Song Lian left early and returned the book to Mr. Liu. Mr. Liu was very happy and praised Song Lian for his integrity (诚信). It's great to be a person with knowledge, but it's more important to be a person who keeps his promise.

A little boy runs to a train station. 1 is out of breath（上气不接下气）when he gets there. 2 the train leaves and the boy can't catch it.

 Suddenly the first officer remembered who Mr Hill was. He returned to him and asked. "Did you9 at the No.2 High School?"When Mr Hill said "10 " in surprise, the first officer smiled and said, "I'm Jack Smith. You taught me French．"

I was on vacation last month. I went to Hong Kong 1 my parents. We went there by plane. It was really 2 for me to have such a great experience(经历).
