There is a well-known story about a farmer1 found an eagle(鹰) egg. The story reminds us of the importance of developing our full potential(潜力).

    "Is that enough? Isn't it cracking? Will your wallet strong enough for more?" warned the Goddess.

    "Never13.It's still strong enough now" replied the beggar confidently.

    The wallet was filled with14many coins that the beggar's hands began to shake. "Ah, if only the golden stream would 15 forever! Just a little more," said the beggar, "16 just a handful or two."

    "There! It's full. The wallet will 17." reminded the Goddess again, but the beggar insisted 18, "I know it will hold a little more, just a little more!" One more piece was added and the wallet split. The 19 fell upon the ground and became dust. The greedy beggar had now 20 but his broken wallet.

A letter to Mum and her mince (肉末) pies

    When I was a little girl, you and I loved decorating the living room and Christmas tree. After 1, we would bake cakes. “Make enough mince pies, because Santa likes them,” you would tell me.

    Christmas Eve came and you would put me on my 2 made bed. I'd fall asleep until Christmas 3. I'd wake up and thrill at the 4 before me. At the bottom of my bed would be loads of presents. I'd scream in delight, 5 tearing the paper open. Running downstairs, I would 6 that Santa hadn't just stopped in the 7 : there were also lots of 8 around the Christmas tree.

    You never know how far a kind act can go. You don't know who it can 1, either. When Gloria Porter and Jeff Reick began 2, they had no idea how much it would 3 others to shower (大量给予) people with kindness.

    89-year-old Gloria Porter was lying in hospital. She couldn't leave her ward.
