Wang Shu, a Chinese architect(建筑师), has been working hard at designing buildings with old materials. His buildings are like a history book. Visitors will feel like they are in old times. He was given the 2012 Pritzker Architecture Prize(普利兹克建筑奖). The award is regarded as the Nobel Prize in architecture. It is given to a living architect, who has made great achievement in this field. Mr. Wang is the first Chinese citizen to win the prize and the fourth-youngest.

    The prize was founded in 1979 by Jay A. Pritzker and his wife, Cindy. It includes a $100, 000 check and a medal. The prize was given to Mr. Wang at a ceremony in Beijing on May 25.

    Mr. Wang's major projects, all in China, include two in Ningbo, a city near the sea. One is the Ningbo Modern Art Museum. It was built up in 2005. The other one is the Ningbo Historic Museum, and it was finished in 2008.

The museums reused materials from the destroyed buildings. They are wonderful to be in photos. You will feel even more exciting if you travel in them. The Ningbo Historic Museum is a city symbol and is like a history book which tells you what life was in the past.   

  “Everywhere you can see, they don't care about the materials, ”  Mr. Wang said in an interview. “They just want new buildings. I think the material is not just about materials. They have people's experience, memory—many things inside. ”

    Even though I just had lunch not long ago, I was felling hungry again. I went to the kitchen to look for something to eat. That was when I discovered the pudding in the fridge. It was made from milk, sugar, eggs and fruits, and it looked so yummy. I noticed that there was only one left.

    I was putting the pudding on a plate when my brother came into the kitchen. He found the pudding and asked for it. “It's mine! I was the only one who found it!” I shouted. “You are my elder brother, you should give it to me!” said he. Then he started pulling the plate towards himself and I did the same.

    Suddenly, the plate moved to one side and the pudding slipped (滑动) out of the plate. It landed on the floor and turned into a yellow mess. My brother and I both looked at each other, feeling amazed and disappointed at the same time. It was such a waste!

    To my surprise, Ollie, our pet dog, walked over to the mess on the floor. It began to lap up the pudding happily, within minutes, the mess on the floor was gone. Ollie licked (舔) its lips when it was done.

    After watching Ollie finishing the whole pudding by itself, we realized      . If both of us had shared the pudding, we would both have got to eat half of it. It was because of our greed (贪婪) that we ended up with nothing. That day, my brother and I learnt a good lesson.

    My name is Peter. I was born in Paris. When I was three, my family moved to London. We stayed there for one year then my dad had to move to New York. We spent about two years there. I moved to Shanghai last May and I like the new country very much.

    I study at an international school in Shanghai. There are people from nearly all parts of the world. I like my school very much and I can learn many things. I love learning Chinese and keep practising it with my classmates. After school, my favourite sport is football. I like drawing and painting, too.

    Shanghai has four seasons and I like spring best here, because I can go out in the evening and play with my friends. In my hometown, the summers are hotter than Shanghai but the winters are not so cold as t hey are here.

    Shanghai is like a small world where all kinds of people and food can be seen. I like being part of it and I am very happy to stay here.

    Long long ago, there was a crowd of antelopes(羚羊)in the forest. In this crowd there was a wise teacher. He was admired by everyone because he taught the young the tricks and strategies of survival (生存策略). One day, his younger sister brought her son to him and asked him to leach what was important to antelopes. She said, "Dear brother, this is my son, Dick. Please teach him the tricks and strategies of survival. The teacher said to Dick, "You can come at this time tomorrow for your first lesson."

    At first, Dick came to have lessons on time every day. But soon, Dick became more interested in playing games with others, so he began to cut classes. However, he didn't realize how dangerous it could be for a young antelope who learned nothing but games.

    Unfortunately, one day the young antelope stepped in a trap(陷阱). Knowing Dick was missing, his mother was worried. She went to her brother and asked him "My brother how is my son? Have you taught him the tricks and strategies of survival? The teacher replied, "My dear sister, I tried my best to leach him, but your son did not want to lean the tricks and strategies of survival. He cut classes. How could I possibly teach him?"

    At this time, they heard that Dick was caught in a trap. They hurried to rescue him before it was too late. Dick was too scared to move and regretted deeply.

    If the young antelope had kept learning carefully all the time, he wouldn't have been caught.
