Many people believe that yellowing and wetness are the greatest enemy of stamps. In fact, stamps are afraid of not only wetness, but also light and dirty things. People protect their stamps in several different ways.

 To protect stamps,we should never touch the stamps with our hands.This avoids moving dirty things onto them. Stamp tweezers (镊子) should be used in all conditions.

 Stamps are printed things. The colour will slowly disappear if the stamps are put in the light for a long time. So we should not put stamps in the light for long. Direct sunlight must be avoided as well.

 Wetness is an important  problem for stamps. Some  collectors  will put stamps  in separate plastic (塑料) bags. However, it is possible that some stamps have taken in some water from the air before they are put into the plastic bags.Stamps yellow easily and rapidly after they take in wet air.To protect the stamps, some people also put the stamps into a special room which has a machine to  keep the air cool and dry. However, not many people can afford that.

 To keep stamps, stamp collectors usually put them under plastic covers. It is a common and simple way. This helps because the plastic cover keeps the stamps off the wet air. It also stops the fingersfrom touching te stamps.

 Some  collectors  prefer  to  store  stamps  inside  a  plastic  box  with  desiccants  (干燥剂).However, we should take care not to let the stamps. touch the desiccants. On top of that, don't  take your stamps out on a wet day.

   In Britain you're allowed to drive a car when you're seventeen. You have to get a special two-year driving license before you start. When you're learning, someone with a full license always has to be in the car with you. You don't have to go to a driving school-a friend can teach you. The person with you isn't allowed to take money for the lessons unless he's got a teacher's license. 

   Before you're allowed to have a full license, you have to take a driving test. You can take a test in your own car, but it has to be fit for the road. In the test, you have to drive round for half an hour and then answer a few questions. If you don't pass the test, you're allowed to take it again a few weeks later if you want to. In 1970, a woman passed her fortieth test after 212 driving lessons! When you've passed your test, you don't have to take it again, and you're allowed to go on driving if you like, if you're healthy. Britain's oldest driver was a man who drove in 1974 at the age of 100. 

   Before 1904, everyone was allowed to drive, even children. Then from 1904 car drivers had to have a license.  But they didn't have to take a test until 1935. In the early days of car driving, before 1978, cars weren't allowed to go faster than four miles an hour, and someone had to lead the car with a red flag.

    Tom is my brother .He isn't tidy .He always asks me ,“Where is my English book ? Where are my rulers ?     Last month some thieves stole a valuable teapot from a museum in Hong Kong. They took the teapot to America, but the American police found it. The museum sent Mr. Chan, a member of the museum staff, to collect the teapot. On the plane back to Hong Kong, he noticed two men. They were watching him closely. "Perhaps they're going to steal the teapot again. I must think of a plan,” he thought.

    Mr Chan's daughter, Amy, met him at Hong Kong Afimor. Mr Chan NS was carrying two boxes. He gave his daughter the pink box and said to her in a low voice, "Take this gift box home with great care." He walked away with the brown one. The two men followed him.

    Amy opened the box at home. She was expecting a pair of sports shoes, but she just found an old teapot. "This is not a very interesting gift," said Amy, a bit disappointed." That's all right. Let's make some tea in it," said her mother. Then they found a note in the teapot. It said, "Dear Amy, __ Love Dad.”

    The two men kidnapped(绑架)Mr. Chan on his way to the museum. They opened his box and found a pair of sports shoes inside."Wheres the teapot?” the two thieves shouted at the top of their voice with red faces." How dare you cheat us? We saw you give your daughter a box at the airport. Come with us! We're going to search your home, one of them said。

    When the thieves entered Mr. Chan's flat, it was dark and quiet. All of a sudden, the door closed and the lights went on. The police were waiting inside.

    Amy and her mother came out of the bedroom with the teapot. "That teapot is very valuable, said Mr. Chan. "A long time ago it belonged to an emperor. He drank tea from it."

    “We were going to drink tea from it, too, "said Amy, laughing.

Money VS Family

    Rama's family is very big. He has three kids, two sons and a daughter.

    He works for more than 16 hours a day. The kids cannot see him as he leaves home early in the morning before they wake up, and he reaches home around midnight when kids have slept every day. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Though Rama's family is one of the richest families in the city, he still works so hard. One day, Rama's family went to their beach house to spend their vacation. His daughter asked, "{#blank#}2{#/blank#}"

    Rama replied, "Yes, my dear, tomorrow for sure, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}I'm tired of work and need refreshment!"

    The whole family became very happy.

    Unfortunately, the next day, none in Rama's family were alive as they were washed out in the tsunami(海啸)!

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} When he tried to reach his beach house, he saw sea and water everywhere and screamed for his family. He could not even find the dead bodies of his family.
