There are many kinds of sports in the world, such as different running, swimming, ball games, and so on. But do you know some strange (奇怪的) ones? Today I want to tell you some of them.
First, please look at the picture. What are the two people doing? They are wrestling(摔跤) with their toes (脚趾). It sounds strange, but it's a real sport in the UK. Every year, about 1,000 people take part in the sport. In the game, players can't wear any shoes or socks. They must play with bare (光的) feet. They need to sit on the floor, and use their toes to wrestle. Maybe some people think it's not healthy. Don't worry about that. Nurses check (检查) all toes first. |

There is another strange sport in some countries like the US, Canada and Germany. That is the cherry pit (樱桃核) spitting (吐) sport. Players need to eat the cherry first and spit the pit out. Try to spit as far as you can, but don't eat the pit. It is a fun way to taste the delicious cherry. And it's great exercise for your mouth. |
