Can you show me who your idol (偶像) is? An idol is someone who we respect (尊重) and love. As for me, my idol is neither a world leader nor an important person in 1 . My idol is my dad. 

Most people believe that a man should go out 2 work. When I was only five, I was 3 ill and needed care all the time. My mother and father both worked and my grandparents lived far away. This was a 4 problem. My dad knew how much my mum loved her job, so he stopped working and stayed at home to 5 me. Many men in this 6 would want their wives to care for the child. But my dad always thinks about others before 7 . This made me full of respect. 

My dad later took a 8 and worked at night. He chose the job so that he would only leave home when I was sleeping. Since then, my dad has 9 and supported me in every- thing I do. I remember when I learned to ride a bike. My dad ran behind me and held the back of the bicycle so that I wouldn't fall. I felt so safe 10 I knew he was near. I didn't even 11 him stop holding me. Soon, I was able to ride by myself. 

My family isn't 12 , and we don't own a big house or an expensive car. But my dad has showed me that 13 is more important than money. Although he now works hard every day and is often very 14 , he always finds time to stay with me. He helps me with my homework, and plays games with me. He has also taught me that I can 15 my dream if I really work hard on it. 

My dad is my idol because he shows me the most important things in life.

 Some artists are often not famous in their lifetime. Vincent Van Gosh(梵高) was one of  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (they). People did not pay much attention to his works. He began to think he was not a very good artist. But he did not stop {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (paint). Vincent loved it. He would become so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (interest) in what he was doing that he did not want to stop. He would even forget {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (eat)!

 His early paintings were dark. He used lots of brown and dark green. Later, Vincent moved to France. He wanted to learn from the artists working there. They were trying new {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (way) of painting. In France, Vincent began using bright colors and bold brushstrokes, He used oil paints to create his art. He painted the countryside. He painted people, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} . He also painted his own portrait(肖像画). He created more than 20 portraits of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (he).

 People did not buy Vincent's paintings in his lifetime. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} today his paintings sell for a lot of money. Most people think his paintings are {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (popular) of all the art pieces. His still life(静物画) of yellow sunflowers in a pitcher is well-known. Another famous painting is of yellow stars in a dark blue sky. In his lifetime, he {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (finish) more than 2,000 paintings.
