Many Chinese people have a good time during the Chinese New Year. It usually comes in January or February. Each year gets a name. It may be called the year of the dog or the year of the tiger instead of (代替)2006 or 2010. Usually there is dragon(龙)dance in the street. The dragon is a strange(奇怪的)animal about 20 feet(英尺)long. It is made of paper and cloth(布). Men hide(藏)under the dragon, and make a lot of noises by shouting and laughin9. There are always a lot of fireworks(烟火). After the dragon dance, the children sing and dance in the street.

Last Sunday

    At about six in the morning I got up, then I brushed my teeth, washed my face. I often do some exercise before breakfast, but I didn't do that day. I was too hungry, I hurried to look for my breakfast. To my surprised, I didn't find anything to eat. I had to make some egg pies by myself. At about 8 o'clock, I reached at Mike's home. Nearly everyone has been there. Then we began to play. We played chess, played cards. Some of us played the computer games. But we all feel bored. At last, Mike got an idea. Then we went climbing. At top of the hill, we flew a kite. Unfortunately, the kite flew away. It was Mike's birthday present from his grandfather. He was so sad. At about sixteen, we went back.

    Bill Gates is the most important man in the software and computer business. He was born on October 28th. 1955. He grew up in Seattle in the United States. His father. William, was a lawyer. His mother, Mary, was .a teacher. Bill Gates became interested in software and began writing programs at the age of 13. In 1973, Bill Gates went to Harvard University. In the same year, he developed a programming language called BASIC for the first personal computer. In 1975, he began his company Microsoft with his friend Paul Allen Microsoft developed a lot of new programs. These programs made computer easier to use. His company has now become the leader in the software industry all over the world. Bill Gates has also become famous all over the world.

    My school is very big. It has sixteen classrooms. There are three hundred students in it. I'm in Class 2. Grade 4. There are two doors and six windows in my classroom. On the teacher's desk, there is a computer. We have twenty-five desks and fifty chairs. There are thirty boys and twenty girls in our class. We have three teachers. They are a Chinese teacher, an English teacher and a maths teacher. We all love our teachers.
