Monty was the son of a horse trainer. When he was in his ninth grade, he was asked to write a  1  about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up.

That night he wrote a seven-page paper saying that someday he'd 2 a horse ranch (牧场). He wrote about his dream and he 3 drew a picture of a 200-acre(英里) ranch with all the buildings.

    He put his  4  into the project and the next day he handed it in 5  his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. On the front page was a large red F with a  6  that read, “See me after class. ”

    The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class and asked, “ 7  did I receive an F? ”

    The teacher said, “That is an  8  dream for a young boy like you. You come from a poor family. Owning a horse ranch needs a lot of  9  . You have to buy the land. You have to pay for other things. There is no  10  you could ever do it. ” Then the teacher added, “  11  you rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal(更现实的目标), I will make your grade better. ”

    The boy went home and thought about  12  long and hard. He asked his father what he should do. His father said, “Look, son, you have to make up your own mind on this. However, I think it is a very important  13  for you. ”

Finally, after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the 14paper, making no changes at all. He said to the teacher, “You can keep the F and I'll keep my 15 . ”

    Our English teacher was like a friend to us, and we all liked her. One day she came 1 the classroom and shouted, “Who did this?” She held up a piece of broken glass and asked, “Who 2 the window?” She seldom became angry. 3 this time she was.

    My teacher 9 a book from one of our book shelves and then began walking towards my desk. I was afraid that she was going to punish(惩罚) me.

     15 time goes, the book is gone, so is my wonderful teacher. But I will never forget the lesson the teacher gave me that day.

    It was a hot day. At noon I stopped at the traffic lights and saw a homeless man walking up and down in the street.

     “This will make1 smile,” I thought, and I turned my car towards a frozen yogurt shop. I grabbed a2and filled it with a couple of flavors and came to the counter to weigh it. I wanted to add some toppings but my3was not enough for that, so I asked the lady if she would have change for a $ 100 bill. She said she wasn't

    allowed to accept a bill that large. All right, I thought and4for the yogurt. As I was about to leave, she said, “Madam, don't5your children. Please add their favorite things. ” I turned to her and said, “Thanks for your6but this is not for my children.

    It's for the homeless man in the street. ” She smiled with surprise and said, “Oh! That's really sweet of you. God bless you. ” She thought for a moment, and then she said, “I think we can do7than that. ”

    She took a bigger cup, filled it nicely and covered it with colorful toppings. Then she8it to me and said, “This is from me. Please give it to the homeless man. Let's treat him nicely. ” Now it was my turn to be 9. I said, “Thanks a lot. ” And I left with a big smile on my face. On the way I said to myself, “ Angels are10, aren't they? I believe them because I saw one today!”

    Alvin wants a new laptop（手提电脑）. His family is8 poor because his parents lose their 1.

He loves Monday very much, because there is a 1 class on Monday morning. He likes listening to music and dancing. There are two English lessons every day from Monday to Friday. He has many friends in his class. He often plays basketball with 2 after school. And after that, he goes home at about 5:00 pm. When he gets home, he usually does his homework first. And then, dinner is often ready at about 7:00 pm. He likes 3 dinner with his parents because he enjoys talking about his school life with them. His parents share his happiness and help him solve his problems at school. After dinner, he sometimes helps his mother do the dishes and some other 4. Then it's his reading time. Every day he spends about an hour reading books, from which he gets knowledge that he doesn't usually get from school. At about 9:30 pm, after he finishes everything and gets ready for the next day, he goes to bed.
