One day, a woman buys some food in the supermarket. Later, she comes back to the street, gets into her car and wants to 1 home after shopping. At that time, she sees a yellow car behind (在……后面) her. A man is driving the car. When she turns right (向右转), the yellow car turns right, 2. When she stops, the yellow car also 3.

    It is not 4  for the woman to make herself relaxed. The woman is 5, so she drives 6 to the police station. A young man is standing 7 the police station (警察局). The woman is happy to see him. She knows that he is a policeman 8 he is wearing a police uniform. She 9 to him and asks him to arrest (逮捕) the man in the yellow car, so the policeman walks to the man. The man doesn't want to run away when he sees the policeman. He just says to the woman, "I think the watch is 10 and I want to give it back to you, madam. I find it in the street.

    A farmer, a cleaner and an electrical engineer ( 电气工程师 ) were waiting to be killed in the electric chair.

    The farmer was brought to the chair 1 "Do you have anything that you want to say?" asked the executioner(行刑者), putting him in the chair. "2," replied the farmer. The executioner closed the switch but3 happened. According to the special law, if the electric chair didn't4, the prisoner(犯人) could be alive.5 the farmer got free.

    Then it was the cleaner's 6. "Do you have anything that you want to say?" the executioner still asked 7 that. "No, just get on with it," replied the cleaner. The executioner closed the switch again. But it 8 work either. So the cleaner was free too.

    Then the electrical engineer 9. "Do you have anything that you want to say?" asked the executioner.

    "Yes," said the engineer. "You are 10. If you change the red and the blue wires over, you might make this chair work."

    The Black family like to do things together. Each Saturday they1each other with the work.

    Today Peter and Jean cleaned their2. They made the bed, swept the floor, cleaned the windows and took out the3. Then Jean put some beautiful flowers on the table. Dad went to the store to4food for next week. He knew about everyone's5food in the family. He was6he would make everyone glad. Mom washed the clothes of all the family. That made her tired,7happy. Then Jean helped Mom water the flowers in the8.  Peter helped Dad fix his bike. Soon they finished9the work.

    "Now we can have some fun," said Dad. "What will we do or10will we go?"

    Everyone had an idea. They decided to ride bikes to the seaside. It is wonderful that the family like to work and play together.

    Two boys were walking down a road. They noticed a man 1 in the field. The younger boy looked at his elder friend and said, "Let's hide his shoes 2 he won't be able to find them. It must be funny!"

    After the farmer 14, the boys came out from their hiding place and slowly walked home. They felt happy and learned how wonderful it was to15 others.

    When I was a junior high school student in 1980, God gave me a gift. It was happiness.

    One weekend, I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. On my way home a car ran me over and cut off my arms because of its high speed.

    Several days later when I woke up in the hospital, I realized I had to spend the rest of my life1arms. How sad I felt at that time！Even I was full of fears.2 slowly I knew I had to face the fact and got over it. I couldn't get my arms back even though I 3 every day.

    However, it's easier said than done. It took me nearly half a year to get out of the sadness4. I got so much from my past story. From then on, I could treat my life with a5mind. But in our daily life, I often see my classmates get6about little things: They get a bad grade on a test; their bus comes7; they don't have a mobile phone but 8 have, and so on. But I only enjoy life. I was lucky to realize from an accident: It is a waste of our life to focus on what you have 9. We should always think of what we have. So why are so many people unhappy？Someone may say, "My whole life would improve 10I have a new car." But when you get the car, what will happen？For a whole week you are walking on air. Then you go right back to being unhappy.

    Happiness depends on what we have！It's in our heart. It's a state of mind. Even though you own the whole world, you may still feel unhappy. Happiness comes from mastering the art of appreciating(感激)and taking pleasure in what you really have.
