    At least, this is the conclusion {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (reach) by a team of scientists led by Greg Bryant, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} assistant professor of Communication Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. The researchers began by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(request) volunteers from across the world to send them audio clips(音频剪辑) of people laughing. The 48 tapes they received {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (range) from recent recordings of laughter between two college friends {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ones from conversations made ten years ago. The clips also had all possible {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (combine)--communications between friends, strangers, all-male groups, all-female groups, etc.

    Bryan says that the results of this cross-cultural examination show that people all over the world know laughter in similar ways.

    During a recent Senior Three English lesson, the teacher {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(notice)Xiao Ming, a student, busily typing messages on her cellphone. To the teacher's surprise, Xiao Ming wasn't just texting her friends the latest small talk. She was blogging about what she was learning in the classroom, sharing her opinions {#blank#}2{#/blank#} her classmates. She said she {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(true)enjoyed doing that.

    The case caused {#blank#}4{#/blank#} heated discussion among teachers and students citywide. Miss Li, another English teacher said, “I am amazed at how {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(create)the students can be when writing on their blogs. To me it's a great way for students to improve their writing skills while writing about personal feelings and experiences.” But {#blank#}6{#/blank#} made other teachers worried was the blog addiction which may disturb the students' study.

    A supporter and classmate of Xiao Ming said, “We love her blog！ We all read it each day and can't wait to see what she writes about next. Many of her {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(suggest)on study really help to encourage us. And we can relax {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(we)while reading her blog.” Another student blogger admitted that he often works late into the night,{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(write)his blog. He said, “Sometimes I don't even have time {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(finish)my homework. I can't help myself. I really have a lot to say.”
