In the U.S. Mother's Day is a holiday on the second Sunday in May. It is a day when children give their mothers cards, presents and flowers. One of the best ways to celebrate Mother's Day is to give your mother a day off. Let her have a good rest while other members of the family do the housework. Many families begin Mother's Day with the breakfast in bed. Usually dad and the children will let mum sleep late as they go into the kitchen and get ready for her favorite meal. A Mother's Day breakfast can be anything your mum likes. After the food is cooked, keep everything nicely on a plate. Don't forget to put a flower in the bottle. With spring here, the children can pick up the nicest flower from the garden outside. When everything is ready, carefully carry the plate and mum's favorite books or newspapers up to her bedroom. Cards and small presents from the children can be put on the plate before they are given to mum in bed. Many families take mum out to her favorite restaurant for a meal. It is a good way to let your mum rest and let her see what a happy family she has!

If the eyes are the windows of the heart, then the body is the mirror of our feelings. If we are feeling great, we may give our body signals. If we look at someone else, we can often tell how he or she is feeling through his or her body signals. So reading body language signals is a great tool in daily communication. 

If you don't think that learning how to read and use body language is important here are some numbers for you. 7% of the information we receive is from what people actually say and 38% of the information we receive is from the tone (语气) and the speed of their voice, while 55% of the information we receive is from their body language. 

These non-verbal (非语言的) signals will help you a lot, but you still need to focus on what the speaker is saying. If you focus too much on the body language signals, both you and the speaker may feel uncomfortable. 

It is useful to be able to read people's body language, and it is useful to learn how to send the right signals and avoid the wrong signals, too. Body language may be given several meanings,which depend on the person and the situation.Be sure of it when you are trying to read a body language signal. 

In a small village in Henan, there is a cool teacher named Zhang Jiantao. He teaches science at a primary school in the village. Mr. Zhang loves working on experiments (实验) with his students and making them laugh and learn at the same time.

As time passes, Mr. Zhang's passion(激情) for teaching science grows stronger. He wants more kids to

learn and have fun with science, especially in the countryside. He wants to share his experiments with other teachers. He dreams of creating a science textbook for them. That way, more kids can enjoy the wonders of science, just like his students. 

①We spend most of our time with friends whom we like. Well, who would stay with a person one doesn't like? What kind of people are welcomed by others, then?

②There are people that naturally attract(吸引) you. By being with them just once, you start to like them. If you wonder why they attract people and want to be a person like them, you should learn how to develop the personalities that they have.

④Next, everybody needs someone to give encouragement to them, because sometimes in our lives we experience failure, sadness, problems and other bad things. So if you always choose to cheer others up with encouraging words or actions, they will be willing to spend time with you. 

⑤Lastly, you are not a friend if you don't lend a hand to your friends when they need help. You should always be helpful to them, no matter what it costs, because when you need help, they will be there for you too. 

⑥It feels good if people want to be your friends because of your character. So if you want to attract friends, I suggest you learn to develop these personalities.
