Natural resources that we use are things that come from the Earth.

    Our natural resources are limited(有限的）. This means that they will not1 forever. Some are renewable, like when you plant a new tree when you2 one down. Others are not renewable, like when you dig coal(煤）out of the3. Once it is used, it is gone.

    People realize the4 that the Earth's natural resources are limited, and people can do things to help conserve(节约）those resources. 5 you try to conserve a natural resource, you try to use less of it so it does not run out so 6One way that people conserve fuel, like gasoline, is by riding a bicycle or walking when the 7 is short instead of driving everywhere.

    Water is a very important natural resource because we all need it to stay 8. We can conserve water9 making sure that the pipes and taps do not leak(漏）. We can also make10 choices to conserve water, like only using the dishwasher or washing machine when they are full. Everyone can make contribution to protecting natural resources.

    Mrs. King is an American doctor. She is now in China. She works in a Children's Hospital in Beijing. She also learns Chinese medicine there. She likes Chinese medicine very much. She loves working for children. She works hard in the day and reads English books about Chinese medicine at night. She learns Chinese from the Chinese doctor and her Chinese friends. Now she can speak some Chinese. She can read some Chinese books, too. Her husband(丈夫)Mr. King is a teacher. He works in a junior high school in Beijing. He works hard, too. He works from Monday to Friday. He teaches three classes every day. Sometimes, on Saturdays and Sundays, he teaches other English classes, too. He wants to make more money.

   Welcome to our museum(博物馆). It isfree and you cancome only with your ID card. We don't ask you for any money, but we have some rules foryou.

   First, don't bring any food to the museum. You can't eat in the museum. But you can bring some water tothe museum. Second, you can take photos here, but you can't touch (触摸) the things. Third, keep quiet in the museum. Don't talk loudly. Fourth, don't run in the museum. Finally (最后), our museum closes at half pastfive in the afternoon. When I was about ten, I was woken up by the shouts（喊声）of my sister one morning. She was hungry, but my mother wasn't at home, so I made a banana cake for her. Let me share the recipe with you.

What you need:

2 eggs  3 bananas  2 cups of flour(面粉)

2 spoons of baking powder(发酵粉)

1/4 spoon of baking soda (小苏打)

1/2 spoon of salt

2/3 cup of sugar

1/3 cup of vegetable oil(油)

What to do:

l  Mix(混合) together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.

l  Add the vegetable oil. Then add a little sugar, and stir (搅拌) it.

l  Pour the eggs into the bowl and stir them well.

l  Add the bananas and stir them.

l  Turn the oven to 180℃.

l  Pour them into the oven（烤箱）. Bake（烘焙） the cake for 20 minutes.

l  Get the cake out of the oven, and cut it into pieces to eat.
