In 1933, an unknown American called Clarence Nash went to see the film-maker, Walt Disney. He had an unusual voice and he wanted to work in Disney's cartoon {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(film) for children. When Walt Disney heard Nash's voice, he said,"Stop! That's {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(we) duck!"

The duck was the now-famous Donald Duck, who first {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(appear) in 1934 in the film, The Wise Little Hen. Donald lived in {#blank#}4{#/blank#}old houseboat and wore his sailor jacket and hat. Later that year, he became a star {#blank#}5{#/blank#}appearing in an eight-minute Mickey Mouse film. The cinema audience(观众) liked him because he was lazy and greedy, and because he lost his temper(发脾气) very {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(easy). And they loved his voice when he became angry with Mickey's eight nephews. Soon Donald was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(popular) than Mickey Mouse probably because he wasn't a goody-goody, like Mickey.

From the 1930s to the 1950s, Donald and his friends Mickey, Goofy and Pluto made hundreds of Disney's {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(cartoon). He also made educational films {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the places of the USA in the world, and safety in the home. Then in 1966 Donald Duck and his voice disappeared— there were no more new cartoons.

Clarence Nash {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(die) in February, 1985. But today's children can still see the old cartoons on television and hear that famous voice.

Young people often feel unhappy when they are with their parents. They say that their parents don't{#blank#}1{#/blank#} them. They often think their parents are strict with them.

Parents often find {#blank#}2{#/blank#} difficult to win their children's trust and they seem to forget how they felt when they were young.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} example, young people like to do things without much thinking. Older people are worried about things more easily, they need to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} things from many ways. So most of them plan things {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and don't like their plans to be changed.

Young people often make their parents angry by clothes they want to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, the music they enjoy and something else, they don't really want to make trouble. They feel that in this{#blank#}7{#/blank#} they can be away from the old people's world. They want to make a new culture of their own. But if their parents don't like their {#blank#}8{#/blank#} or clothes, the young people will feel very unhappy.

Sometimes instead of going out with their parents, they {#blank#}9{#/blank#} want to stay at home alone and do what they like.

{#blank#}10{#/blank#} you plan to manage an independent life, you'd better win your parents' trust and try to get them to understand you. If your parents see that you have a high sense of responsibility (责任感) , they will certainly give you chances to do what you want to do.

Do you feel down more often during the winter months? {#blank#}1{#/blank#} so, you might have winter depression. It's also known to doctors as seasonal affective disoder(SAD, 季节性情绪失调).

SAD usually starts in fall or winter and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in spring or early summer. As the weather gets colder and the days get {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, you feel more tired, sleepy and even hopeless from time to time.

However, we still don't know the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} for SAD. Some scientists think that hormone(荷尔蒙) changes can cause this kind of problem. During winter, it {#blank#}5{#/blank#} dark outside for much of the day. This causes the brain to make more melatonin(褪黑素). This hormone makes you feel sleepy and less {#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

Getting more sunlight is the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} way to deal with SAD. Doctors say people should spend at least some time {#blank#}8{#/blank#} every day during the winter. "Light therapy(疗法)", or using {#blank#}9{#/blank#} lights at home to simulate(模仿) natural light, can also help. But if you still feel deeply depressed, you should go to a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.
