Spiders are not insects as many people believe. They belong to a class of animals called arachnids(蛛形纲动物). Spiders have eight eyes, four pairs of legs, and can grow a new leg if they lose one. A spider's body is divided into two sections: the abdomen(腹部) and the thorax(胸部).The legs, eyes, and mouthparts are in the thorax section.

    Most spiders have poison glands(毒腺)and sharp teeth. They use their sharp teeth to force poison into the insects they catch for food. This poison can make an insect lose the ability to move, and the helpless insect is then devoured by the spider.

    Spiders usually have silk glands under their abdomen. They produce a liquid(液体)that is thicker than water from their glands. When the liquid comes into the air, it dries into silk. Many spiders use this silk to form webs to catch insects and to make cocoons(茧)that protect their eggs. This amazing silk is also used to create lines that spiders hang onto as they travel to new areas.

    Spiders live in almost everywhere on earth. The only places where there are no spiders are the coldest places, the highest mountains and the seas.

    From the lower floors of the buildings, we can use windows. We should learn the best way of leaving through windows with the least chance of serious injury.
    The second floor window is usually not very high from the ground. An average person, hanging by the finger-tips will have a drop of about six feet to the ground. It is about the height of an average man. Of course, it is safer to jump out in a right way than to stay in a burning building.
Windows are also useful when you are waiting for help. Be sure to keep the door closed, or smoke and fire may be drawn into the room. Keep your head low at the window to be sure you get fresh air rather than smoke that may leaked（渗）into the room.
On a second or third floor, a person can escape through a window that open onto a roof. Then from the roof drop to the ground. Dropping onto cement（水泥）might end in injury. Bushes（灌木丛）and grass can help to break a fall.

    Most people just throw them away. With the development of electric industry, e-waste pollution has become a serious problem. According to the United Nations, in 2014, people around the world produced 41.8 million tons of e-waste and only recycled 6.5 million tons. The US was the biggest waster, producing 7.1 million tons. China came second, with 6 million tons.

    It's important to pay attention to e-waste. It can either be valuable or harmful, depending on how we deal with it. E-waste is a valuable urban mine. The value of the metals, like gold and silver in the waste around the world, is amazing. And the metals can be reused. But if people throw them away, the toxic chemicals can get into the earth or air, effecting the environment and people's health.

    Apple, for example, now recycle people's used products in China when they are buying new ones. The company will test and repair the used ones and sell them at lower prices. To help reduce e-waste, we can also take computers and phones to see if companies offer recycling programs.

To be honest, no matter how old we are, most of us love it when our parents do things for us. It makes our lives much {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(comfortable), and we have less to worry about.

Some parents have prepared almost everything for their children {#blank#}2{#/blank#}they were born. They consider their grown-up children (sometimes even adults) as babies! They are afraid to let their children go anywhere or do anything by {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(them). As a result, their children fail to learn social {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(skill), and come to depend more on parents!

Therefore, some experts suggest that children shouldn't be taken good care of by their parents all  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} time. Children need their own time {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(develop) into adults and to learn how to deal with problems. It is not necessary for parents {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(care) too much about the safety of their children. Too much care breaks their fun when they are growing up. Although they may get into trouble when they can't depend {#blank#}8{#/blank#} their parents, they can learn a lot.

It is nice that parents show their care and attention to their children. It is nice that children know that their {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(parent) care is the result of love. And it will be nicer if they are the children who can let their parents know how much love they {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(real) need and how much love is too much. Try to let children go and make them independent.
