Happiness is for everyone. You don't need to care about those people who have beautiful houses with large gardens and swimming pools or those who have nice cars and a lot of money and so on. Why? Because those who have big houses may often feel lonely and those who have cars may want to walk on the country roads at their free time.
In fact, happiness is always around you if you put your heart into it. When you are in trouble at school, your friends will help you; when you study hard at your lessons, your parents are always taking good care of your life and your health; when you get success, your friends will say congratulations to you; when you do something wrong, people around you will help you to correct it. And when you do something good to others, you will feel happy, too. All these are your happiness. If you notice a bit of them, you can see that happiness is always around you.
Happiness is not the same as money. It is a feeling of your heart. When you are poor, you can also say you are very happy, because you have something else that can't be bought with money. When you meet with difficulties, you can say loudly you are very happy, because you have more chances to challenge(向…挑战)yourself. So you can not always say you are poor and you have bad luck. As the saying goes, life is like a revolving(旋转)door. When it closes, it also opens. If you take every chance you get, you can be a happy and lucky person.

    Spring is a wonderful season to celebrate rebirth(再生) and new life. The long, cold winter is over. The weather is warmer and sunnier. The trees again have leaves and the flowers are blooming(开). The season represents(代表) hope, joy and beauty. At this time, many people think of this classical music piece — “Spring”, which shows happiness. Italian composer(作曲家) Antonio Vivaldi wrote it in the seventeen hundreds.

    However, not all songs about spring are happy. This song written and sung by K.D Lang is about dreaming of spring in cold dark places. She recorded “I Dream of Spring” in 2008.

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein wrote “It Might as Well Be Spring” for the movie State Fair in 1945. Frank Sinatra sings it. It is a feeling of restlessness(焦虑) or excitement brought on by the coming of spring. Richard Rodgers also wrote “Spring Is Here”, this time with Lorenz Hart. Ella Fitzgerald sings this song about feeling lonely during this season.

    Frank Loesser wrote the sad song, “Spring Will be a Little Late This Year”. Why has the season been delayed(延迟)? Because the singer's lover has left her. Sarah Vaughn released(发行) her version of the song in 1953.

    By now you may be thinking, “Enough with the sad songs, already!” Ok, then how about a cowboy(牛仔) song? Gene Autry was one of America's most famous singing cowboys. He recorded “When It's Spring time in the Rockies” in 1937.

    And finally, we'll leave you with a sunny song called “Up Jumped Spring”. Freddie Hubbard wrote this jazz(爵士) song in 1977 and Billy Taylor Trio performs it.

What is the most stressful thing in school? It is probably exams. Exams can put us under a lot of pressure. But some students do well under pressure while others feel terrible. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

It all comes down to dopamine(多巴胺). {#blank#}2{#/blank#} It has many important roles: influencing memory, attention, and how we learn. Our brains work best when there is an even(均等的) balance of dopamine— not too much or too little. The brain controls dopamine in two ways. It either takes out dopamine quickly or gradually. Exam success can be related to how fast dopamine goes back to an even balance.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} If you become stressed, your brain will start to have too much dopamine. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} The quicker you are able to go back to an even balance of dopamine, the quicker you can fix yourself perform better on a test.

Scientists found that, during a test, people who slowly got back to an even balance of dopamine scored 8 percent lower.  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} The answer is yes. So don't fear, there is some good news. The study also found that the more practice you get, the less stressed you' ll be. So, it turns out that practice really does make perfect.

A. What happens when we sit for an exam?

B. It is like a cup flowing over with water.

C. So, why do some students perform better under stress?

D. That's the difference between a good mark and a bad mark.

E. Dopamine is a chemical in our brain that sends information to our body.

F. Is there anything that can help change the speed of dopamine getting into our body?
