She used to sleep on the sidewalk of the Fifth Street Post Office. I could smell her before I came close. She wore dirty clothes and her mouth was nearly toothless. I hardly saw her talk with others. If she was not asleep, she talked to herself. I always had sympathy for her. What a poor old lady! She must be desperate （感到绝望的）and hungry.

    One Thanksgiving, we had lots of food left over. I thought about the old lady. She might be still hungry. So I packed the food up and drove over to the Fifth Street.

    It was a cold night. There was hardly anyone out. But I knew she would stay at the same place and I would find her easily.

    There she was, squatted against a fence near the post office. She was dressed as she always was.

    I drove my car over to her, rolled down the window and said, "I've brought you some food. Would you like some turkey and apple pie?"

    However, the old woman didn't seem to be very excited about this. She looked at me and said quite clearly, "Oh, thank you very much, but someone has given me food earlier and I'm quite full now. Why don't you take it to someone else who needs it?"

    Her words were clear and her manners were gracious. Soon her head sank into her arms again. I was the only person who didn't know what to say. An old lady who was clearly down on her luck still thought about others. Why don't more of us do that?

①Reading is a good hobby for all kinds of reasons. 

②First, reading is fun. You can always keep yourself happy if you like reading. You will never feel bored or tired. 

③Second, you can read a book almost anywhere: in a car, on a plane, or even in the bathroom. All you need is a book. 

④Third, reading is useful. It's also a good reason. If you take reading as a hobby, you will get better and better at it. And you will read faster and find it easier to understand what you read. As your reading skills improve, you will probably find your schoolwork becomes much better. 

⑤Some people say that reading is out of date. This is not true. You can read books online by using computers or mobile apps. Good readers may become writers. They always have more things to write about. 

⑥Reading is a wonderful hobby. Why not start reading right now? 

On weekends, the school is often quiet. But the school, Furong School in Sangzhi of Hunan Province, is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. There are many fun clubs for students {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, such as the Soccer Club and Singing Club.

Many students at the school are left-behind (留守的) children. Their parents {#blank#}3{#/blank#} far from home and they are lonely on weekends. So the school starts over twenty clubs for {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. They can learn and relax on weekends. Now there are clubs for painting, singing, writing, table tennis and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Students can join clubs according to (根据) their {#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

One student, Haohao, likes playing video games. Now he is in the Basketball Club. Every weekend, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} time taking basketball classes. And he {#blank#}8{#/blank#} much time to play video games. His parents are very happy about that. Huang Ying, a seventh-grader, is in the Table Tennis Club, "I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} table tennis games on TV before, so I felt it was very cool. Now I am good at {#blank#}10{#/blank#} table tennis. I feel very happy when I show my talent (才华)," Huang says.

After you walk into the school, you can 2 a classroom building. There are some 3 things in these classrooms. For example（例如），every classroom has a 4 blackboard. Teachers can write on it with a special pen. There is also a 5 in every classroom. Students can take books from the bookcase to read. 

Our school sports field is behind the classroom building. It is a 6 open space. Students have PE classes and sports meetings there. 

The new sports center（中心）is on the right of the sports field. It is a 7 building with a gym and some other new sports facilities（设施）. There＇s also a big 8 . Students can 9 the information about some sports games. The center is beautiful 10 many students love to play sports there. 

11 school library is in front of the sports center. It is a quiet place for students to 12 and study. The building on the left of the classroom building is theatre and music hall. It has classrooms 13 art and music classes. There are also teachers' 14 in this building. They work there. Our school' 15 hall is beside the art and music hall. It is a clean place. Students have lunch there.
