Do you know Chen Yixun? He is a great singer from Hong Kong. He has a lot of beautiful songs, so many people love him. This year Chen Yixun gives concerts (演唱会) in some cities in China. And on November 7 the concert is in Jiaxing.

    Chen Yixun wants to give great concerts, and he does a lot of work for that. First, he practises singing every day. And he always drinks warm water. There are also dances at the concerts, so he needs to practice dancing, too. It's a hard job. Then, he also needs to do exercise like running and swimming. He has to be healthy and strong for the concerts.

    “I have a busy life, but I love it. I enjoy singing and I wish to give great shows to people,” says Chen Yixun. Wish him good luck!

Americans spend their weekends in different ways. But usually they choose the same aim— to rest, to enjoy the time with their family and friends.

They will take many things with them, such as fresh vegetables, seafood, drinks, table cloth and so on. Usually they drive to a beautiful park, a lake or the seaside.

    In the future, the computer will help people to find the right place. The computer will ask them questions which they will answer by pressing a button. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} then the computer will tell them where to find the place they want for holiday. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} It will also help people to use their leisure time well. There will be more programmes on how to make and how to do things.

    In the future, people will certainly have to do less work. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} This means that the rest of the time will be mostly leisure time.

    Some scientists say that man of the future will be able to get enough pleasure and enjoyment on their own without going anywhere. According to other scientists, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} The cap will make him see, feel and hear all kinds of enjoyable things.

    Last summer holiday I went to Taiwan with my parents. Taiwan is really beautiful! The weather is good. It is always warm and humid(潮湿的) because the sea is around Taiwan. In the north, there is winter, but in the south, there's no winter and you can enjoy sunshine(阳光). The typhoon(台风) season is from June to September.

    There are many mountains in Taiwan. Ali Mountain is one of the biggest mountains there. We went to climb Ali Mountain one afternoon. There are many trees in the forest there. They are very tall and many of them are really old.

    Sun Moon Lake is the largest natural lake in Taiwan. In the lake there are many kinds of fishes.

    We also went to the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. There are many kinds of foods in the small towns near the sea. A kind of dumplings with shrimps(虾) in them is my favourite.

    Taiwan is a beautiful island. I love it! I took many photos there. Would you love to see them?

    What can we do to help protect the environment? It seems useless to just pick up a piece of trash(垃圾) ,but what will happen if you keep doing it every day? Tommy Kleyn, an ordinary man from the Netherlands, may give you the answer. Tommy Kieyn walked past a polluted river on his way to work every day. It used to be a beautiful view, but the trash on the bank made it dirty and smelly. So Tommy decided to pick up the trash along the river a little bit at a time after work. "It took me about 30 minutes to fill one garbage(垃圾) bag with trash, but one garbage bag didn't seem helpful in a place as polluted as this. I decided to fill one bag of trash each day as I passed by," Tommy said. Every day, Tommy took pictures of the river and shared them on his Facebook page. To his surprise, in just six days, he had made great progress with his cleanup effort(努力) . He felt happy and kept doing it. Gradually, more and more people knew about Tommy's story. Other people in the community began following in his footsteps and cleaning up trash on their way home, too. "The idea is to encourage people to fill one garbage bag with litter each day. It only takes 30 minutes, but it really makes a difference and you will be amazed at how good you feel afterwards, "he said. People from all over the world have been moved and inspired(激励)by Tommy's story. No effort is useless if we keep doing it every day. Ordinary people like you and me can also make a difference to the world we live in if we take actions right now.
