Roofs and windows of buildings aren't the only surfaces that can be used to produce solar power. In China,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}（construct）has begun of the country's first solar highway, in which solar panels are placed underneath transparent concrete.

    The solar highway is a 2 km stretch（一段）of road{#blank#}2{#/blank#}（lie）on the Jinan City Expressway, and it's divided into three layers. The see-through concrete protects a set of solar panels of two{#blank#}3{#/blank#}（size）. Beneath the solar panels{#blank#}4{#/blank#}（be）a layer that separates them from the damp ground.

    The road{#blank#}5{#/blank#}（it）has already been completed, and now it's only a matter of connecting the grid（输电网）,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}is expected to be finished by the end of the year alongside the completion of the Jinan Expressway's south section.

    This isn't the first solar road China has worked on. Earlier this year, the Qilu Transportation Development Group, also handling the Jinan Expressway solar road,{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（build）a 160-meter- long solar road in{#blank#}8{#/blank#}city of Jinan. It has the ability of heating up to keep the highway clear{#blank#}9{#/blank#}snow and ice* and is able to{#blank#}10{#/blank#}（wireless） charge electric vehicles. The new solar highway is expected to one day be equipped with the same features.

    Golden Gate Park is in San Francisco, California. It is one of the largest urban {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(park) in the United States. Over one million colorful flowers, trees and other plants grow in the park. But originally most of the park{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(cover) in sand. After a lot of work, it was finally built in 1870.     Many people living in cities see riding a bicycle as good exercise. But, a recent medical {#blank#}1{#/blank#} research warned that cyclists should think twice before cycling in the streets: it actually does more harm than good {#blank#}2{#/blank#} their bodies.

    Is cycling in cities really bad for your health? Probably yes. The main danger comes from the air around you. Breathing {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in air pollution from taxis and buses can damage blood vessels(血管).Scientists say the damage could outweigh the health benefits of cycling.

    David Newby, a British {#blank#}4{#/blank#} researcher at Edinburgh University broke the news. So those who believe {#blank#}9{#/blank#} they are improving their fitness the most are storing up the biggest trouble for {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.
