Many years ago， there lived a very rich man who wanted to do something good for the people of his town. But first he wanted to find out if they deserved(值得)his help. So he put a very large stone in the middle of the main road into the town. Then he stood behind a tree waiting and watching.

Soon an old man came along with his cow. “Who put this stone in the center of the road?” said the old man， but he didn't try to move the stone away. He passed around the stone with some difficulties and continued on his way. Another man came along and did the same thing；then another came and another. All of them complained about the stone in the center of the road but nobody tried to move it.

Late in the afternoon a young man came along. He saw the stone and said, “It will be dark at night. Some people will come along later in the dark and will fall over the stone and get hurt.” The young man then began to move the stone. He pushed and pulled and tried everything he could to move it out of the road. But to his surprise， under the stone he found a bag full of money and this message, “This money is for the person who moves this stone from the road. The person deserves help.”

    Tony Wheeler was born to travel. His father worked for an airline. For the first 16 years of his life,Wheeler and his family lived in many different countries.

    In the early 1970s,Tony met a young woman named Maureen. They soon married. Before getting jobs, Tony and Maureen wanted to travel. They took a year long trip from England, through Asia, to Australia. On the trip,they visited places like Iran(伊朗),India,and so on.

    When Tony and Maureen arrived in Australia, people asked many questions about their trip. To answer these questions, Wheeler wrote a book called Across Asia on the Cheap. The book told people about different countries' weather, customs (风俗), and places to see. But unlike other travel books then,Tony Wheeler's book also talked about places most tourists did not go. He also wrote about unusual things to see and do. The book was very popular.

     Tony and Maureen started a company called Lonely Planet. They continued travelling. They wrote books for each place they visited. Today,800 people work {or Lonely Planet. The company has over 650 books. Tony Wheeler,the great traveller, still writes about travels to many places and will bring us more surprises.

Jack Brown, an office worker, lives in Washington. He inherited(继承)a million dollars when he was 23, but he wasn't happy at all. When his college friends were looking for their jobs, he didn't have to. Jack decided to keep living a simple(朴素的)life like everyone else. He gave $10,000 of his money to a charity to help poor children live a happy life. Today he is 36．He still wears cheap shoes and clothes and drives a small car only, but he is very happy.

Up to now Jack has helped some children from poor countries all over the world, by sending them each $200 a month. The money is used for the children's study, food, medicine and clothing.

Jack receives a report each year on the children's progress. They can write to each other, but usually the children do not speak English.

When Jack first heard about these children, he wanted to help them."It was nothing special,"he said."Until I went to these countries and met the children I was helping, I didn't know anything about their life."Once Jack went to meet a little girl in Africa, he said that the meeting(相识)was very exciting."When I met her, I felt very, very happy,"he said."And I saw that the money was used for a good cause. It brought me happiness. I want to do everything I can to go on helping these children."

Stamp collecting is becoming a big hobby for young people to remember their trips. Lovers of this hobby enjoy collecting stamps about the places they visit. They usually buy stamps in the local post office. 

 Jenny, a 25- year- old teacher, enjoys collecting stamps. For her, this is a great way to record (记示) her trips. Once during a two- day trip to Beijing, she collected over 90 stamps! They're all about beautiful artworks. 

 Ben, a 12- year- old teenager from Beijing, said collecting stamps helped him learn about the culture and history of a place. He likes to buy different kinds of stamps while travelling. For example, when he went to Xi'an, he bought a special stamp. It has a picture of an old Chinese stone bridge on it. "The stamp looks very marvellous. It makes me more interested in Chinese culture, " he said. Then he started to look for more stamps with interesting pictures. Ben also shares them with his friends. It encourages them to visit more places. 

"These days, more and more tourists share their stamps online. Stamp collecting is a good way to help people know more about the local culture. It's really educational, " said Gina, a teacher from a school of Tourism Management in Dongguan. 

We know exercise is important（重要的）in our life. Everyone needs to exercise. Doctors say doing sports is beneficial for us. Sports can make our body strong. Children should also do some sports. It's good for them. If children often do sports, they can be stronger and taller. Doing sports is easy. Here is some advice（建议）for you.

You can walk, run or only jump. These are easy ways. Every day you walk to the classrooms and have PE class.

Don't do sports too much at a time. Try all kinds of sports and look for one, two or even three sports you like. People exercise for an hour every day have better sleep and more energy（能量）.

You can also exercise at a gym or on the sports field. In the gym, you can play basketball, play tennis or play badminton. After school, you can run or play football on the sports field. Exercise can be fun. It can make you happy.

Friends can exercise together. You can do sports with your friends at any place you like. You can also join the running club together.

As you can see, you can try different ways to do exercise. And Just do it!
