    In Thailand, people do not eat with chopsticks like in China, Japan, and Korea. They use spoons and forks.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}.Most food is already cut. If you need to cut things, use the side of your spoon first and then use your fork.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. If you are right-handed, keep the spoon in your right hand and the fork in your left hand.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.The rice is not on the same plate with other food. It is not necessary to finish all your rice or all your food. It is good to leave a little on your plate. If you eat up anything,it means you want more.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.The host (主人)will ask you twice or three times if you want more food. It is the same with whatever you are drinking. During the meal, never empty your cup or glass. When it is less than half full, your host or neighbor will fill it again.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Always refill (再加满) your neighbor's glass. This means that you must keep an eye on your neighbor's glass all through the meal.

    English homework may be boring for many students. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Our English teacher, Mrs. Lin, asked us to write an English letter to ourselves in the future. Mrs. Lin said she got the idea from Steve Jobs' time capsule (时光胶囊). In 1983, Jobs buried his time capsule. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}That was 30 years later. So what will you write about to your future self? Everyone was surprised and whispered (窃窃私语) about it.

    Those days when you go on vacation, you spend most of your money just getting there. Travel is expensive, but don't stay home only because you are short of money! Here is some advice:

    Travel during off season if possible. Flights and hotels are much cheaper when tourism is low.

    Choose a hotel that's a little farther from popular attractions. If you're staying several days, check out prices on vacation homes-- they can end up being cheaper than a hotel.

    Take public traffic, such as buses or subway, instead of taking a taxi.

    Plan your meals, and cat like locals. Don't waste money at expensive hotel restaurants or fast- food chains. Depending on where you stay, it may be cheaper to make food on your own.

    Check online for special discount (折扣)—if you're a student, the old or the parents traveling with children, you could get discounts! A little research could save you a lot of money.

    Whether you're backpacking alone or going on a family vacation, your trip doesn't have to cost a lot of money. The key is to plan ahead and write down what you spend. Then put the money you save toward your next trip!
