Gwondo was a trainer of dogs. He would go out every day with his dogs, to1 them how to catch animals so all his tribe(部落) could eat.

    Wherever Gwondo went, his tribe could see him away in the distance  2 his white hair would shine in the sunlight. The tribe 3would say to their children, "See, there is Gwondo and his dogs, searching for 4 for us all. " Gwondo went out hunting every day and always came 5 with much food. And all were very happy.

    Now Gwondo grew 6 and as all humans do, one day he died. The tribe felt sad and cried many days and many nights 7 one day the elders called to their children, " You have cried enough for Gwondo. Now it is time to 8 living. Go down to the beach and be happy."

    The children ran down to the beach and looked out to sea. 9, they all looked at each other, then turned and ran back to their elders, 10, "Come quickly. Gwondo, he is back with us. He is out in the sea. "The elders hurried to the 11 and said, "Yes! It is Gwondo back! He is now a dolphin and lives in the sea. "

    Now whenever you see 12 dolphins in the sea, look for the big old dolphin. You will know him because he has a large white fin on 13 back. He is Gwondo and he is training the young dolphins to chase(追逐) 14 close to the beach so that his tribe can catch them.

     Gwondo is known to all the tribes 15 the east coast of Australia. They call him their sea dog.

    One day, when Bill was walking home from school, he heard a 1 coming from the bushes(灌木). He went over  2 what it was. Behind a bush, he found a black dog. Bill went back home as soon as he could with the dog and 3 her to his parents. Bill's dad found that the dog had 4 leg, so they brought the dog to a doctor for animals 5 car. On the way Bill's parents decided that Bill could 6 the dog if they couldn't find the owner of the dog.

     When they arrived, the doctor checked the dog. He told Bill that she was going to have 7! The next day, Bill 8 signs like "FOUND DOG BACK" around his neighborhood. He also wrote his family's phone number on the signs.

     Two days later, Bill got a/an 9 from the owner of the dog. The owner thanked Bill. When he came to pick up his dog, he said Bill could have one of the babies. Bill was very 10! Finally Bill got a baby dog from the owner. He named him Rosco and liked him very much.

    David grew up poor. He started working in the 7th grade, and when he was in high school he was only going to school half days, 1 at 11 am to go to work.

    Lack of money meant lack of educational chances, but he had a hunger to learn. In his  2  time he read books that he thought it would   3 him succeed somewhere down the road.   

    He worked very hard, and he tried his best to provide for his family,  4factory life had a bad effect on his body and spirit, he had an unhappy life. It was, in his mind, killing him like a slow poison.

    In 1995 he bought his first computer, and a few months later, he discovered the Internet. He wanted to be a part of it, and worked 48 or   5 hours a week in the factory, and  6  another 40 or more hours a week teaching  7  computer skills. He worked harder than he  8  had in his life, surfing the Internet over 100 hours a week.

    David wanted to begin jobs in the Internet and computer fields. He was refused many times, but he never 9 . He had a goal and kept after it10  he didn't like it at all, because  11  else seemed so hopeless. Soon he got a fast return. David left the 12  and took a job in the computing field.

    This is a true story about believing in yourself; a story about finding  13  you love to do and following your dreams.

    My hope in writing this story is that, if you have a dream, you'll be  14  enough to see it through. It's up to you to make it. Remember that even the farthest  15   always starts with the first step.

    Do you know Stephen Hawking? He was one of 1scientists on space and time in the world. He2on March 14th this year. We are all sorry for it.

    Hawking was born in England in 1942. When he was a little boy, he didn't have any physical problems3he was not good at sports. As for study, he showed a great interest4science. Then he studied math and science at Oxford University. At the age of 21, he became seriously ill. He couldn't feel or move5. Luckily, he had a wheelchair(轮椅)6a special computer. It helped him "talk" with others.

    Even though he faced so7difficulties, he refused to give up his hope. Because of his illness, 8was difficult for him to draw diagrams (图表) or to write. So he started to think in the pictures. With this new way of9, people could understand him.

    Hawking was not only a great scientist but also an excellent 10. China once invited him to give speeches and he accepted the invitation11. His speeches touched the listeners' heart and made them 12 .

    Hawking was an outgoing person who had many interests. He said, "Having a meaningless life will13be my dream. When something bad14, there's no need to worry about it. Just do your best in your place."

    "Never give up." That is15we should learn from Hawking.
