There was once a lonely girl who wanted love very much. One day while she was walking in the forests, she found two dying birds. She took them home and put them in a small 1. She was happy to have two “friends”. She 2 them with love and the birds grew strong. One day the girl happened to leave the door of the cage open. The larger and the 3 of the two flew out of the cage.  The girl was afraid that it would fly away. She caught it quickly, she felt glad that she caught the bird before it could fly away.     My friend Alan did not have a rich family. He did not have much money. Sometimes Alan 1 had to accept money and gifts from his family and friends. But do not get me 2. He was not the kind of person who never 3 the money he should. He was always very 4 with the money he spent.

I looked at the pen in my hand. There was nothing 2 about it. It looked just like any other ballpoint pen. I had a drawer full of them. At that moment, I didn't realize how special it was or how much I would come to treasure（珍爱）it.

    Mr. Smith is from 1 , but he lived in London for ten years. So he can speak German and English. He also likes seeing the world. So far he has 2 to many big cities in the world, such as New York, Rome, Paris and so on.

Have you ever been to Thailand(泰国)? It is a country in Southeast Asia. I've been in Thailand for a few days with my parents. We are here for a holiday. 

Now we are staying in Bangkok. It is the capital of Thailand and it is a very interesting place to visit. Yesterday we visited some places of interest in the city. They were great!①今天早上，我们去购物。Bangkok was a wonderful place to shop for jewelry（珠宝）and clothes. My mother bought some beautiful dresses. My father and I bought some fashionable T-shirts. 

Thailand is called "Land of Smiles" because people here are very friendly. And it's true! When we eat in the restaurants in Bangkok, the waiters are really nice and they are always smiling.②Thai food is delicious, but it is a little spicy（辛辣的）for me. You can also get Chinese food here because a lot of Chinese people came to live in Bangkok many years ago. Chinese food is very good, and it isn't as spicy as Thai food. American food can also be found in Bangkok. 

"What's wrong, Suzie?" asked Dad. "Why are you looking so unhappy?"

"It is just that Amine's family has moved to Sydney," cried Suzie. "She will go to a new school there, make new friends, lead a new life and… and{#blank#}1{#/blank#} me." Suzie couldn't speak any more with tears in her eyes.
