Do you know this story? {#blank#}1{#/blank#}July 11 of every year, a local office of Project Hope receives a donation from a person{#blank#}2{#/blank#}  Xu Qin. But investigation (调查) shows that Xu Qin died in1994.
   Xu Qin was Liu Wenzhen's youngest daughter. She died in a traffic accident on July 11, 1994. Ever since, Liu Wenzhen has been in the habit of making a donation {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Project Hope on that date to commemorate (纪念) her daughter's death. 
   What has Mrs Liu done is simply helping to{#blank#}4{#/blank#}her daughter's dream. “I have always dreamed{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  becoming a teacher in the countryside because that is{#blank#}6{#/blank#}  my father lived,” Xu Qin once said.
   Project Hope is built to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}children to be able to go to school. Many people make a commitment to the project all over the world. In China the project began in 1985.
   As a student, we can also do {#blank#}8{#/blank#}to support this project. We may save our money and donate it to Project Hope. Maybe we can teach those children{#blank#}9{#/blank#}  can't go to school some day. We can also {#blank#}10{#/blank#} others to do something for the project.

    When I was waiting for a bus at a station, I saw a young man get into a telephone box near the station. After a short time, he came out and{#blank#}1{#/blank#} very sad (难过的). As he saw me, he came over.

    "Good afternoon, sir," he said. "{#blank#}2{#/blank#} was Abraham Lincoln born, do you know?"

    "You {#blank#}9{#/blank#} me remember it," he said. "His telephone number is '180909', and you can remember it easily {#blank#}10{#/blank#} you know when the great man was born."

    In England and Europe, there are a number of special wells called wishing wells. Some think that if you throw a coin into the water and{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, the wish will come true later. Also in England, there are other wishing customs that{#blank#}2{#/blank#}at Christmas and on birthday.

    At Christmas people like to eat the turkey and somewhere {#blank#}3{#/blank#}the turkey there is a special bone, shaped{#blank#}4{#/blank#}the letter Y. It is called the wish bone. If anyone finds this bone, he is thought to be rather{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. He invites someone else to break the bone with him. Each person holds one arm of the bone and{#blank#}6{#/blank#}. When the bone breaks, the person who has the larger part makes a wish which is{#blank#}7{#/blank#}to come true in a year.
