Confidence is very important in daily life. It can help you to develop a healthy attitude. A study shows that the people who are more confident are much{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(happy), they can have more chances to make{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (they) successful. But how to be more confident? Here are some suggestions :

    * Speak loud   When you are not confident, you can't do well in what you want to do. You speak

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}such a low voice that other people can hardly hear you. Try to speak loud enough so that people can hear you{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(clear). The high voice can help you become more confident.

    Pick up a hobby  If you like singing, sing as much as you can. In some ways, a hobby can make you outstanding, and it will make you happy and confident.

    Basketball players are usually very tall. Because they need to put the ball into the basket. Other sports players may be shorter than them.

    Short people often have better balance (平衡) than tall people, so they don't fall  over very often. In some sports， the players must have good balance, for example, table tennis, they don't need to have long legs to run fast! Some of the fast runners in the world are not very tall.  Some people are tall and some are short. The tallest man in the world is 2.41 meters tall. Today young people in many countries grow taller than their parents.This is because they eat better than their parents. Good food can help children grow.

    Good sleep is important to your health. You need about eight hours' sleep a night. Don't eat or read in bed. A cup of milk before sleep may help you get a good sleep. Go to bed at the same time before midnight and get up all the same time every morning.

    I was waiting on the station platform for the Tianjin train when a man asked me if I knew the time of the next train to Tianjin. I often had to go there myself, so I knew and told him. A few minutes later an old lady wanted to know whether the train to Shanghai had already left. I knew that it had not, So of course, I told her. Then a girl came to me and asked why the train from Nanjing was late. I just told her that when trains were late, it was usually because something had happened. I was wondering why all these people were asking me those questions when I noticed that I was standing next to a sign that said "Inquiry Office."

    Long before I could read myself, Mum read stories to me every night. Those bedtime stories made me a reader.

    Many years later, I read a picture book to a small child in a classroom. He was from a poor family and had no friends. My reading made him very happy. Then he wanted to start something big. He said to me, "Mrs. Allyn, let's make everyone know how good this feels. Let's have a holiday for reading stories. " Then my company, Litworld, started World Read Aloud Day in January, 2010, to honour(表彰)the little boy for sharing such a great idea with us.
