举一反三
Do you know more and more Chinese artists have made regular donations to charity or put their efforts(努力) into charity work in China? Here let's know some of them.
Faye Wong and her husband Li Yapeng started the Yan Ran Angel Foundation(基金会) for harelipped(兔唇的) children three years ago. It was named after their daughter. Its purpose is to help children under 14 to cure their harelips. The couple donated one million yuan (about $ 133,000) to start the organization.
Cong Fei was born in a poor family. He became a successful singer in Shenzhen. He helped 178 poor students and disabled people for more than 10 years. Before he died of an illness at the age of 37 in 2006, he decided to donate his cornea(角膜) to people with eye problems. He helped six people see the world.
Guan Mucun has donated money to Project Hope to help poor students finish primary education. Thirty of these poor students have already finished high school with her support. Guan has also helped with charity work for environment protection, HIV/AIDS prevention, blood donation and "Mother Water".
Guan had an unlucky childhood: her mother died when she was only 10 years old. With the help of the government and her neighbours, she grew up and was successful as a famous singer.
Action star Jackie Chan is a wholehearted supporter of charities including UNICEF, Operation Smile and his own Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation. In 2007, he used much of his spare time to visit the farthest parts of China on his Dragon's Heart Charity Missions. The Dragon's Heart Foundation aims to meet the needs of poor children and the elderly in the hardest-to-reach areas of the country. Chan has made several trips to these poor villages, bringing warm clothing, wheelchairs and school supplies, and helping to build schools.

It seems that on every street corner in the world, there is a fast-food restaurant.People everywhere are busy. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Around the world,$240 billion a year is spent on fast food. Yet, even though fast food has becomequite popular,there are many myths(荒诞的说法)about it,

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}This is not true. More than 2.000 years ago,the people of Rome lined up in the street to buy quick meals at small stands(摊位).One type of their most popular fast food looked a lot like a modern hamburger. All through history, people have always eaten fast food.

The second myth is that all fast food is American. While many modern fast-food restaurants are American, some very traditional Chinese food is nearly fast food. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in fact,one of the most popular fast food chains (连锁店)In the US is a Chinese food chain, Panda Express. It has more than 1,600 restaurants in America.

Finally,many people think that fast food is always bad for them. This is true for a lot of fast food.However ,nearly every fast-food restaurant has some healthy food on its menu,and some fast-food restaurants also make healthy food. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} We can choose to eat healthy food. even at fast-food restaurants.

B.People like eating fast food with their friends.

C.The first myth is that fast food is a recent tradition.

D. The problem is not fast food, but the choices we make.

Do you know which social app is popular with Chinese young people now? "Short videos" are certainly the most popular. A large number of young people use Tik Tok (抖音) and Kuaishou. They think it is fun to share their lives by short videos, while others have other purposes as well.

A t2-year-old user named Elsa has about 2. 7 million fans on Tik Tok. The girl has shared her dancing studies on Tik Tok since last July. One of the videos won her about one million tans. "I feel really glad to share happiness with people by short videos." said Elsa.

To some other young people, they use short videos to have a quick look at the hot programs. "Because I don't like to spend many hours watching a whole program, I hate waiting for a program to end, and I prefer to watch short videos of wonderful parts of hot programs," said Wang Zhihao.

However, some young people feel bored with short videos. "Killing time is the main reason for me to watch short videos, and many short videos are almost the same, so I think they are not so useful or interesting. What's more, I really don't like the videos about strange and dangerous things," said Wen Nan, another college student.

Recently, something else has appeared. Some videos are telling people what commodities are worth buying. Some short videos even sell bad commodities, and it is hard for customers to get their money back. So we should think twice before we want to buy the commodities by short videos.
