新目标(Go for it)版初中英语八年级上册Unit 10第4课时Section B 2a~2e同步练习
Lots of kids hate school, a new study found. Usually this kind of feeling doesn't last long. But what happens if you feel this way too much? School is a fact of life and getting a good education can help you build the kind of future life you want. So let's talk about school and what to do when you don't like it.
If you don't like school, the first step is to find out why. You might not like school because you don't have enough friends, or maybe you don't get along with your teacher. Sometimes it's a big problem with your classes and schoolwork. You may be getting further and further behind, and it seems that you'll never catch up.
When you know why you don't like school, you can start taking steps to make things better. It's a good idea to talk to someone about your problems with school. Your mom, dad, teacher or school counselor(顾问) will be able to help you. Another good idea is to write down your feelings about school in a notebook. It's a great way to let out emotions(情绪). Remember, you don't have to share what you've written with others.
In Australia, different people have different ways to have fun. They also have their own ideas about how to pass time.
Most children, about 80%, work hard in school because they have to take lots of exams. After school, they don't want to stay at home reading books any more. Instead, they go out to play.
Some old people get up early in the morning. Then they go to the park to read newspapers. It helps them know what is happening around the world. In the evening, they would like to watch TV at home.
Young people enjoy having relaxing trips on weekends. They go to mountains to have a picnic or go to the forest to camp. They usually start on Friday and spend one or two days outside. On Sunday evening, they start their way back home. Nobody seems to be in a hurry, although a busy week is waiting for them again.
