    Mike works very long hours every day. He usually gets up at 17:00. He has a shower and makes his breakfast. What a funny time to make breakfast! After breakfast, he practices (练习) his guitar for ten minutes, then he puts on his jacket and goes to work. To get to work, he takes the No.17 bus to the Star Hotel. The bus usually leaves at 19:15.     "Here," Papa says to Monica, "I have the Moon for you." Monica jumps and dances with the Moon. But the Moon keeps getting smaller and smaller. And at last, it disappears. Then, one night, Monica sees a small Moon come out. Each night the Moon grows, grows and grows.

    Ferdinand Magellan(1480~1521) was a Portuguese explorer. In 1519, he led the voyage to sail around the world. It was also the first voyage to sail from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Magellan gave the Pacific Ocean its name, which means "peaceful sea" in Portuguese. However, Magellan was killed in a battle before the voyage was finished. My name is Dick. I'm a student. I have breakfast at 7:00 in the morning. I go to school with my friend Li Dan at half past seven. We are in different classes. I'm in Class 4 and she is in Class 3. 

We have four classes in the morning. At 12:00, we have lunch at school. We have two classes in the afternoon. Classes begin at 8:00 and finish at 4:00. We have many subjects at school. My favorite subject is science, because I can learn many useful things in science classes. I also like English. Mr. Jin is our English teacher. He is strict (严格的) with us, and he asks us to speak English both in and after class. But we all like him because he's nice and he likes to help us. Li Dan likes music. She can play the piano well. We like our school life.
