Sometimes, we see some people reading books while biting their nails (咬指甲). According to the BBC(英国广播公司), up to 45 percent of teenagers bit their nails. There is not an exact answer to{#blank#}1{#/blank#}   why people bite their nails. But most commonly, nail biting is said to be a nervous habit. It is done  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  of stress(压力), boredom or excitement.

 What's more, a report says that people with higher levels of intelligence(智力)  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  biting their nails at an early age. It believes that compared  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  common person,  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}   with higher levels of intelligence may feel higher levels of stress more easily.

 This habit is   {#blank#}6{#/blank#}   for the biters. It can give them red or sore fingertips. And long-term nail biting can affect(影响)   {#blank#}7{#/blank#}   nails grow.

 But don't worry! There are many   {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  to stop biting your nails. First, keep your nails clean. The more you focus on taking care of your nails, the  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}   likely you may bite them again. Also, when you feel stressed, try to relax.  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  exercise or having a warm bath both help.

    In the old days, we had a lot of stories between brothers and sisters about how to care about each other. However, most of us don't know how important it is to care about others in{#blank#}1{#/blank#}world. Once, two brothers worked together on a farm. One was married (已婚的) and had a large family. The other had no wife yet. Although they lived in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}houses, they {#blank#}3{#/blank#} everything they got from the farm.

    One day, the unmarried brother said to {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, "It's not fight that we share all the rice. There is only one person in my family, so I need {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  than my brother." So, every night he took a bag of dee from his store-room and went{#blank#}6{#/blank#}the field between their houses to put it into his brother's store-room. At the same time, the married brother thought, "It's unfair (不公平的) to share all the rice. I'm married and I have my wife and children to care about me when I get {#blank#}7{#/blank#} . However, my brother has no one to take care of him." So, he {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to take a bag of rice and put it into his brother's store-room. A few months passed by. They found it strange that {#blank#}9{#/blank#} rice never became less. Then, one dark night the two brothers {#blank#}10{#/blank#} into each other. Slowly they began to understand what happened. Their bags fell on the ground and tears filled their eyes at once.

    A doctor, a lawyer(律师), a little boy and an old man were on the plane. Then there was something wrong with the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. They had to jump off.

    But there {#blank#}2{#/blank#} only three parachutes(降落伞) on the plane.

"I'm a doctor. I save other people's {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, so I must live," said the doctor and he jumped out.

    "I'm a lawyer and I'm important in the world." The lawyer also {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a parachute and jumped.

    The old man {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the little boy and said, "My dear, I'm old but you are {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. You have a long way in front of you. Take the last parachute and go."

    "Don't {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, grandpa. The important man just jumped off {#blank#}8{#/blank#} my backpack (背包)," said the boy.
