Mr. Smith had a small supermarket in a small town. All the people who lived nearby 1to go to his supermarket and buy things there. But several years ago, a big chained store 2 in that area and it sold all kinds of things from the toothbrush to TV and, above all, the price was pretty 3. So a lot of small shops 4 except Mr. Smith's. The manager of the chained store wanted to explore 5 was hidden behind Mr. Smith's success, so he decided to drop into Mr. Smith's supermarket and he saw a lady buying things there.     With a smile, the lady told him it was because of a pair of shoes. She told him a story.     Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country,    1  mouse lived in the city. I11to keep a good standard of life for everyone, 12when I was waking up feeling sick every morning. By January last year, my heart failure was so13that I often couldn't walk more than a few yards.

    I was worried about not being around for my 14I had to explain to Josh that the call telling me an organ(器官)had been found could come any time and I'd be 15to hospital, perhaps before I could say goodbye. A few days later, the phone rang and Josh said, "Is that the doctor with your new16?"However, it was  17a salesman.

    May 4 was the day a transplant(移植)18was found. I was out of hospital within five weeks and within a few19, feeling much better. By October, I was taking part in a 30 mile bike ride.

    These days I spend a lot of time talking to kids with heart20. I want to support others who have had a hard time.

    One day, the students of Class 6 were reading in the classroom. Mrs. Brown came in and told the whole class that they would have to change a 1 in March. The naughtiest(调皮的) class in the grade could not 2 it. The pupils all disagreed with the decision, so they shouted when Mrs.

    Brown said it was because a new pupil would be3 the class. The class was in disorder. (杂乱地) "Why must we move to another classroom just because someone new is coming?".     When I was a junior high school student in 1980, God gave me a gift. It was happiness.

    One weekend, I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. On my way home a car ran me over and cut off my arms because of its high speed.

    Several days later when I woke up in the hospital, I realized I had to spend the rest of my life1arms. How sad I felt at that time！Even I was full of fears.2 slowly I knew I had to face the fact and got over it. I couldn't get my arms back even though I 3 every day.

    However, it's easier said than done. It took me nearly half a year to get out of the sadness4. I got so much from my past story. From then on, I could treat my life with a5mind. But in our daily life, I often see my classmates get6about little things: They get a bad grade on a test; their bus comes7; they don't have a mobile phone but 8 have, and so on. But I only enjoy life. I was lucky to realize from an accident: It is a waste of our life to focus on what you have 9. We should always think of what we have. So why are so many people unhappy？Someone may say, "My whole life would improve 10I have a new car." But when you get the car, what will happen？For a whole week you are walking on air. Then you go right back to being unhappy.

    Happiness depends on what we have！It's in our heart. It's a state of mind. Even though you own the whole world, you may still feel unhappy. Happiness comes from mastering the art of appreciating(感激)and taking pleasure in what you really have.
