Subject: Mobile phone problem

Dear Editor,

    I am a middle school student. I used to bring a mobile phone with me during school hours. But the teachers think using mobile phone is distraction (分散注意力的事) to students during school hours and also causes so much trouble in class. So now we aren't allowed to bring mobile phones to school.

    I find it really inconvenient (不方便的)。 My parents feel unhappy because they can't get in touch with me(不能与我有联系) . But I can't make our school change this rule. What do you think I should do to solve this problem?

    Bob and I live in the same building. His room is on the tenth floor, and mine, the ninth. He is kind but careless.

    One day Bob and his friends went to an island for traveling. On the island, they swam, fished and had a picnic. They enjoyed themselves very much. Three days later, they decided to come back by boat. On the way, their boat hit a rock and soon went down. They were all in danger. Luckily, all of them were out of danger with a villager's help. At that time, Bob was quite hungry and tired, so he hoped to get home as soon as possible.

    When he got to the building, it was already midnight. As the lift(电梯）didn't work, Bob had to go upstairs on foot. He stopped by my door and took out his key to open it. Of course, he could not open the door. He tried it again and again, but failed. He became angry and shouted. " What's wrong , my god?" The noise woke me up. I opened the door. I understood at once what was happening and said," You are wrong. It's my room, Bob!"

    "Oh, no, Mike!" Bob shouted, "It's my room. You have opened the door by mistake!"

    It is true that pigs are fat. They eat a lot. But they are useful to us. We get more than just pork from pigs. We can use their skin to make shoes. We can use their hair to make brushes.

    People sometimes say: "You are as stupid as a pig." But pigs are not stupid. In fact, pigs are one of the 10 smartest animals. They can remember things well and tell different shapes apart. Many experts think pigs are easier to train than dogs or cats.

    These stereotypes (偏见) of pigs often make us feel negatively about the animal. For example, if someone's room is very messy, we might say his or her room looks like a pigsty (猪圈).

    Ancient people's favorite animal

    But people in ancient China really liked pigs. If someone had a round and chubby face, he or she was thought to be blessed (有福气的). People also believed the animal stood for (代表) wealth. Now most children have a piggy bank that they can use to save money.

    Here is a picture of my birthday party. My friends and I are all very happy at the party. Peter is eating the birthday cake. My mother makes it for us and it's delicious. My sister Molly is singing. And Selina is playing the guitar for her. Selina's father is a music teacher and he teaches Selina to play the guitar. Dave is talking about basketball with my brother.
