Jack is six years old. He has no sisters. But he has a brother. His brother's name is Mike. Jack likes eating apples, oranges and bananas. Sometimes he eats some of his brother's apples. And his brother often beats（打）him for this. He doesn't like Mike. This September he goes to school. It's the ninth（第九） day at school. Jack and his classmates are having a new lesson.

    Teeth are important part of our body. Everyone should brush his or her teeth every day. Learning how to take care of teeth is very important.

    The importance of brushing teeth

    If you eat and do not brush your teeth, pieces of food that stick to your teeth can cause problems. The food can damage (破坏)your teeth. Then germs (细菌)can get into your teeth and make them decay (腐烂).

    It is important to brush teeth every day. You should get a checkup from your dentist every year. Trying not to eat food that has a lot of sugar, such as candy and soft drinks, helps to protect teeth.

    The proper ways of brushing teeth

    Do you know that most people do not brush their teeth in the right way? Follow the methods below and they will help you keep your teeth healthy, clean and beautiful.

    ◆Replace your toothbrush every few months.

    ◆Clean two or three teeth at a time. Brush the front of your teeth with a circular motion (运动)and clean the backs of your teeth with up and down motions.

    ◆Use a gentle back and forth motion to clean the tops of your teeth where you bite (咬)into food.

    ◆Don't forget to gently brush the top of your tongue (舌头)from back to front. A lot of germs live there.

    ◆Take at least 2 minutes to brush your teeth.

When you visit the zoo, you can't touch, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} or go near the animals!

    Chogori(乔戈里峰)stands on the Chinese-Pakistan border. Chogori is from the Tajik language, it means" high, great and magnificent". Internationally, it is better known as K2. Chogori is about 8, 611 meters high, and it is the second highest mountain in the world.

    And Chogori is not Qomolangma. On the one hand, Chogori is a steeper(更陡峭的)and more dangerous peak. In fact, it is the most difficult peak to reach in the world. The first two people to reach the top of Chogori—Lino Lacedelli and Achille Compagnoni from Italy—did it in 1954. In 1986, the first woman did it too. Since 1954, only 281 people have reached the top, and 49 others have been killed (However, Qomolangma has been reached 3, 000 times and only 15 climbers lost their lives). Of all the over 8, 000-meter-high peaks, it has the highest death rate.

    On the other hand, this great peak is for professional climbers only. Here, no commercial(商业的)climbing organization will provide you any services, and even top-class climbers will choose their climbing partners with a particularly eagle(鹰)eye. The leader of a Japanese K2 team said when organizing his team in 1982, "We are professional climbers, and all know that if we run into trouble at a height of 8, 000 meters on K2, it is impossible to get help. If you do not have the confidence and determination(决心)to face possible trouble, you should not go!"

    This is Chogori! In the eyes of the top-class climbers, it is the most beautiful peak, and it is the danger that attracts them.

    I feel very comfortable here. This college has everything! It's like a small city. The student store is next to my dorm. There's a beautiful garden across from the student store. The health center is on the corner, across from my dorm. The sports center is on the corner of College Avenue and Garden Street, There are three coffee shops on College Avenue!

    There is one thing the college doesn't have, Mom: your cooking!
