It {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Saturday. The {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was fine. It was good for a trip. When our teacher {#blank#}3{#/blank#} us we were going on a school trip. We were crazy(疯狂) because this was the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} school trip of our new term. I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a lot of food and drinks in the supermarket. We climbed the mountain {#blank#}6{#/blank#} about one hour. I was {#blank#}7{#/blank#} but happy. Then we {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to a beautiful park. We {#blank#}9{#/blank#} many people in the park. I was very interested in {#blank#}10{#/blank#} games in the park. We had a good time the whole day.

    In China, people think being modest(谦虚的）is a virtue(美德）and being proud is bad. Once I heard an American boy say to a Chinese girl, " Your spoken English is good. "But the girl answered," No, no. My English is very poor. "The boy felt {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. He thought he might not make himself understood or the girl had not heard him  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} " Yes, you speak very well," he said again. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}the girl still kept saying " No". In the end, the boy didn't know {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to say. What's wrong with the girl's answer? She didn't {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the praise in the same way as the American people do. She {#blank#}6{#/blank#} what the American boy had said, but she thought she should be modest. In the west, people will feel {#blank#}7{#/blank#} and confident when they are praised. So if someone says the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} you have made is very delicious, you should say," "Thank you." In western countries, if you say " No" while working, people may think that you really cannot do it. If you often say "No", you'll certainly be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} upon by others. So in the west, you should be  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to show yourself. In my opinion, being confident does not mean being proud, so sometimes you should be confident of yourself.
