A boy was sent by his parents to a boarding school（寄宿学校）.     Other young volunteers go and work in the homes of people who are sick. –They clean up or do the shopping. University students and other people take these boys to baseball games and help them to get to know things that boys usually learn from their fathers.

    Each city {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(have) a lot of clubs where boys and girls can go to play games or take part in other activities. Some of these clubs show movies or have short trips to the mountains, the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(beach) or the museums. Most of these clubs use a lot of high school and university students as volunteers {#blank#}8{#/blank#}they are young enough to remember the problems of younger boys and girls more {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(easy).

Always one hundred percent

    Every Friday morning my friends and I sit on the rug in class and practice our spelling words before the weekly test. All of us prepare for it very {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (careful). And everyone wants to do the best. We have a contest {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (see) who can spell the words the fastest.

    One of us sits in our teacher's chair and reads the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(spell) words. Whoever slaps(拍击)the floor first gets a two-second head start spelling the word.

    A few weeks ago, Miguel had been reading the words, and Kevin and I were spelling {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (they).For one of the words, I lifted my hand in such a hurry that it {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (fly)back and hit my nose.
