There was a very rich man, but he didn't feel happy. So he asked a clever old man {#blank#}1{#/blank#} he could be happy.

    "That's very easy." the old man said, "You just put {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the shirt of a happy man and you will be happy."

The rich man thanked the old man and went to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} for a happy man. He visited many countries and met many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. But they all said they were not {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

One day, he saw a poor farmer working on a {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The man was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. He looked very happy. The rich man went up to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and asked, "Are you happy?"

     "Yes, quite happy," answered the farmer.

     "Can you sell me your {#blank#}9{#/blank#}?" asked the rich man.

     "My shirt?" the farmer answered, " {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I haven't got a shirt."

Dear Emma,

    I have a problem and I need your help. My parents are really{#blank#}1{#/blank#}and never let me do anything! For example , when I go out with my friends , my mom always asks ,” Where are you going? Who are you going with ? “ Two months ago , I got an earring and my father was really angry. He made me take it out. My parents want to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}everything I do . But I'm 18 years old! I try to talk to my mom and dad , but they don't listen. They say , “This is our house and these are our{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.” Every time I hear this , I'm very unhappy .{#blank#}4{#/blank#}, we have a fight . Why is it so hard for them to understand me?

    Today I'd like to tell you a little about the people I admire the most.

    My first hero is the adventure Jessica Watson. In October 2009, when she was only sixteen years old, Jessica left Sydeney, Australia and sailed {#blank#}1{#/blank#}the Pacific, Atlantic and India Oceans all by herself. She {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to Sydney in May 2010. She is the youngest person to sail solo unsupported around the world. I have a lot of respect for her as she was {#blank#}3{#/blank#}to face difficulties and danger alone. Australians were so {#blank#}4{#/blank#}her that they called her "our newest Australian hero."

    How Do Kids Spend the Weekend?

    Last week, we{#blank#}1{#/blank#} the students at Dazhu Middle School what they {#blank#}2{#/blank#} over the weekend. For most kids, the weekend {#blank#}3{#/blank#}fun. Ten kids did homework or {#blank#}4{#/blank#} .On Saturday morning, five kids{#blank#}5{#/blank#}shopping, and three went to the library. Two kids also{#blank#}6{#/blank#} computer games. On Saturday afternoon seven kids{#blank#}7{#/blank#} a movie or{#blank#}8{#/blank#} at home and watched TV. On Sunday, two kids{#blank#}9{#/blank#} friends or relatives. Nine kids{#blank#}10{#/blank#}their rooms, and five played sports.

   There are about 5, 000 different kinds of ladybugs(瓢虫) in the world. They come in many different colours. Their bright colours warn other animals or insects not to eat them. Ladybugs{#blank#}1{#/blank#}bad. A bird or a frog that eats a ladybug will remember the bright colours and it will not eat another ladybug with the same{#blank#}2{#/blank#}again. When ladybugs are{#blank#}3{#/blank#}, they will give out a fluid( 液体) that tastes terrible.

   In many cultures, the ladybug is considered to be a symbol of good luck. Most ladybugs are {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to humans. They eat other insects which destroy crops. One ladybug can eat up to 5,000 insects in its lifetime.

    No leaves are exactly the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the world. Nobody in the world is the same {#blank#}2{#/blank#} you. You are unique (独一无二的). Everybody is different {#blank#}3{#/blank#} others. That is good, because it makes the world an {#blank#}4{#/blank#} place. Some people are {#blank#}5{#/blank#} than you, but others are shorter than you. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} your hair is the same color as your friend's but it may be longer than{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. I am sure you have some friends who are smarter than you. And you also have some friends around you who are not {#blank#}8{#/blank#} at some things. What does your best friend like to do? Do you both like {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the same clothes every day? I think in some ways you are the same, but in many other ways you are different. So say {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to the world, "I am unique!"
