阅读短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。

    Brooke wanted a dollhouse and some sugar cookies. So the 6-year-old asked Alexa to get them. Alexa wasn't her mom or babysitter. It was a voice-activated home assistant powered by AI (人工智能). And it made Brooke's wishes come true. A few days later, much to her parents' surprise, a $170 dollhouse and four pounds of cookies showed up. They ate the cookies and gave away the dollhouse to a local hospital. And that's not the end of the story. When a news reporter told the story of what happened on TV, Alexa devices (设备) in many listeners' homes woke up and tried to order dollhouses!

    Alexa isn't the only AI willing to serve you. Apple Home Pod has Siri, Google Home has its Assistant, and the upcoming Galaxy Home device will have Bixby. People who have these devices use them mainly for listening to music, checking the weather, and setting timers. According to a report from The Information, nowadays voice shopping is rare. But many scientists predict a boom (增长) in voice shopping in the near future. Is that a good thing?

      ▲   You can shout out an order as soon as you think of it, even if you are cooking, cleaning, or driving. In addition, people with disabilities who are unable to use a keyboard or mouse can shop without any help.

    But voice shopping has its disadvantages. Unwanted dollhouses aren't the biggest problem. It's usually very easy to cancel an order or return products. The thing that worries some people is that these assistants are always listening. They have to be able to respond when you want them. So they listen for "Alexa" or "OK Google" or another order. When they hear it, they start recording the conversation. Some have worried about what happens shopping habits? And what if someone hacks (入侵) the device? The CIA found a way to hack smart TVs to turn them into spies that listen all the time. Others could do the same with any smart device.

    What do you think? Are you ready to start voice shopping?

(1)、From the passage, we know that Alexa ________.
A、can look after the baby B、can cook delicious food C、is a toy doll sold online D、is one kind of AI device
(2)、The underlined word "rare" in Paragraph 2 probably means.
A、unusual B、expensive C、harmful D、impossible
(3)、Which of the following is the best to fill in the "  ▲  " in Paragraph 3?
A、Convenience is the main advantage of voice shopping B、The cost of voice shopping is lower than other ways C、The popularity of voice shopping is increasing D、The technology of voice shopping needs improving
(4)、Paragraph 4 mainly tells us that when people try voice shopping, ________.
A、AI sometimes forgets people's orders B、personal information might be hacked C、it's difficult to cancel or return products D、the needs for products can't be satisfied

About 1 in every 160 children has autism(自闭症). Lots of people are working hard to help those children. And luckily, there are also robots helping them.

Catherine, a Hong Kong professor, has developed an educational programme. It uses role-playing robots. The programme, Robot for Autism Behavioral Intervention(RABI), is for children with autism between the ages of 3 and 18. Its purpose is to help them be more social(社会的). According to Catherine, more than 1, 200 children have taken part in the programme since it was started in2015.

As we know, it is tough for people with autism to communicate with others. Others can't understand what they want to say easily. So they feel worried or nervous about half of the time. The robots teach them social skills to make them less nervous. In a typical class, two small robots act out social conversations on a table. It helps the children see the difference between proper and unacceptable behavior. After that, the daughter has been in the programme for seven months. Her social and communicative skills have improved a lot.

More than 20 non-profit(非盈利的)groups and public schools in Hong Kong and Macao have joined the programme and helped develop it. Catherine hopes the programme can help more children with autism.

 阅读以下短文,并从下列六个句子中选择五个还原到原文中,使原文的意思完整,连贯。

A. For example. AI can help with homework and research projects.

B. As students,you are the ones who will use this technology.

C. Therefore,using Al for learning can make your school life easier.

D. Although it is good to use AI,your own ideas and creativity are important too.

E. This includes protecting your personal information and respecting others' privacy.

F. Here are some tips for students on now to use AI properly.

As we move forward in the modern world,technology is changing everything we do. One exciting part of this change is Artificial Intelligence,or AI for short. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Following Certain Rules

When you use AI,you need to make sure that you use it safely and responsibly. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}As students,you should know these rules and make sure you follow them when using AL.

Working with AI,Not Just Using It

AI can help a lot,but remember,it's there to help you instead of doing everything for you. Work with AI as a friend that gives you a hand when you need it,but don't just let it do all the thinking for you. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

Using AI for Schoolwork

AI can be a great helper in school. It can make learning more fun by giving you lessons that fit just for you and helping you right away when you have questions. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

To sum up, using AI can be really helpful for doing things more easily. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}And the way you use AI now can make a difference to the world in the future. So,it's important to know how to use it correctly.

Developed by US company OpenAI,ChatGPT has taken the internet by.storm. People can ask the robot to write stories and emails,translate languages,and answer all kinds of questions.It does this by drawing on information collected from a large amount of internet text.One breakthrough behind today's model is a network called Transformer.The GPT models built by Open AI combined Transformer with unsupervised(无人指导的)learning,which means that the models can learn by themselves without being told what to look at.

"One of the biggest problems with ChatGPT is that it comes back,very  confidently,with false information,"Michael Wooldridge told The Guardian.This means that ChatGPT learns information from various resources but it cannot decide what is true or false.Some argue that ChatGPT will be used to make fake news, spread falsities,or be used for ill purposes.

Andreas Schleicher thinks the chatbot will become a very powerful tool in the development of education.But he also mentioned,"There's a great risk that we'll just blindly follow the answers that we get from ChatGPT rather than question it and create new knowledge.If students are only as smart as a smartphone,it means educators are not doing enough.People should focus on developing human skills that actually are important,such as imagination and creativity."

Schleicher added that as a tool,ChatGPT is going to make learning much more interesting and powerful,but as a purpose and goal,humans need to work very hard to win that race with technology.

 阅读下面短文,按照句子结构和上下文连贯的要求在空格处填入一个适当的词或使用括号中词语的正确形式填空。

 Do you know Chatbots(聊天机器人) and other AI programs(人工智能项目)? Do {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ( student) need them at school? Do teachers need them at school, too? People look at it in different ways.

 Some people think Chatbots are useful to help students {#blank#}2{#/blank#} their study. They can give answers to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( them) questions. They can guide (引导) students with questions. Chatbots can work seven days a week and twenty-four {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( hour) a day. They can work with teachers, too. They can help teachers do lesson plans.

 However, Chatbots {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( be) not always useful. Students need {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ( learn) things about computer first. They may use computers later, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} now they learn penmanship (书法) and spelling at school. Some teachers do not use AI programs {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( good), so they can't get much help from them for their teaching and students. AI programs do not have human connection(人类连接). Students need that in their school life. A Chatbot only {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( give) students answers. {#blank#}10{#/blank#} teacher knows how to help students get answers.

Facial-recognition cameras are everywhere — even in your smartphone. Many people use this technology to unlock their phones, open doors, or make quick payments. But there is a problem during the epidemic(流行病): everyone wears masks. What a headache!

Scientists are trying to solve this problem. For example, E&T Magazine reports that Hanvon, a tech company in Beijing, has made a new system. It can recognize(辨认) over 95% of people when they wear masks.

What's the secret? It's all about your eyes. Marios Savvides from Carnegie Mellon University studies facial-recognition. As we get older, he says, our faces change shape. But the area around our eyes stays almost the same — even if we put on weight. As long as there are enough data from the area of our eyes, the cameras can recognize us.

TECH5 is another facial-recognition company. The Swiss company's products scan(扫描) the shape of your face. They also scan your irises, which are the colored parts of your eyes. TECH5 hopes to ignore(忽略) all of the face below the nose.

This kind of software has a more important use than just unlocking your phone. "It can discover criminals, even when they wear masks, " said Huang Lei from Hanvon. Hanvon's technology is used by Chinese police in places like subway stations and airports. Similar technology is used by the United States Air Force.

Huang pointed out one big weakness: it fails when people wear both a mask and sunglasses. "In this situation, all of the key facial information is lost, " Huang said.
