彼得的周末

     Peter was busy last weekend. On Saturday morning, he went hiking with his dog. They had lots of fun. Then Peter read a book. His dog sat beside him and looked at the book, too. On Saturday afternoon, he went fishing. He waited and waited. He was so tired that he went to sleep. When he woke up, he got a big fish! On Sunday morning, he did his homework and washed his clothes. In the evening, he watched TV with his parents.

    Do you know? April 22nd is World Earth Day. It tells us we should love the earth. Protecting environment is very important. We should be green(环保的). We can keep our bottles and take them to the bottle bank(瓶子回收站). We should have a black bin and a green bin at home. One for general waste and one for recyclable waste. We can use cloth bags and paper bags when we go to the supermarket. We should go to school on foot or by bus every day. More and more people live a low—carbon life.

The future

    In the future, everything will be different. I think the future will be fun.

    Cars will fly. We won't drive on the roads. There won't be traffic-jams. Children will fly to school in a flying school bus. Or they will fly to school on a flying bicycle.

    Work will be different. People will have more leisure time. They will only work three days a week. The weekend will be four days long. Lots of people will work online from home. Everyone will go on vacation five times a year.

    Food well be different. We won't eat the same things we eat today. We won't buy food at the supermarket. We will buy our food online. A truck will deliver food to our houses.

    Lots of people won't cook. They will eat at a restaurant every day.

    Yes, thing will be different in the future!

Cathy: Mom, look, there are some birds.

Mom: Which bird do you like?

Cathy: I like the green one. It's more beautiful than the blue one.

Mom: Which bird is stronger?

Cathy: The blue one is stronger.

Mom: I like the blue bird. I think it's younger, too.

Cathy: But the green bird's tail is longer.

Mom: Yes, I think it's about 20 cm long.

    London is the oldest city in Britain. It's the biggest city in Europe, but New York is big, too. It's as big as London. The streets in London are crowed(拥挤)and there is one of the world's biggest underground. The streets in New York are just as crowded as in London. There are a lot of stores in London, but New York has more supermarkets than London. London has more parks than New York, but New York's Central Park is much bigger than the biggest park in London.

    Hello, my name is Ferdinand. I have a big nose and two small(小的) ears. Today is my birthday. I have a big grass cake. It's nice. You can see five candles(蜡烛) on the cake. I have many gifts. Look, a brown toy dog, a pink toy pig and a yellow toy duck. Oh, I'm thirsty. Can I have some water, please? I like my grass cake and water very much.
