The world's first “flying car” will soon appear in the market — It will be yours for just ￡127,000.

    The Terrafugia Transition is a light sport plane with four wheels (轮子) and foldable (可折叠的)wings. It can fly up through the skies just like a regular plane, then land on the ground, fold up its two wings and drive down the road at highway speeds.

    It is 19 feet long and can fly a distance (距离) of 460 miles, with a top speed of 115mph in the air and 60mph on the highway. According to early reports, the plane uses common gas — no rocket fuels (燃料) are necessary. It gets its power through the 100 horsepower four — stroke Rotax 912S engine（发动机）.

It is about as wide as most normal cars except the folded gliders. The Terrafugia Transition can be put into most garages(车库) and drive normally on the road. A special code from a pilot's license is needed to get the wings to unfold.

    Interested pilots (yes, you need to be a licensed flyer or a driver with a pilot's license (执照) to buy one) can get an order of the flying car (or the highway plane) for ￡6,500. It is planned to be finished towards the end of the year.

    Pi is a boy. He lives happily with his family in a beautiful Indian town. His father has a zoo, so Pi knows a lot about animals.

    But one day, his father decides to move to Canada. He will sell all his animals there. The family begin to sail on the Pacific with all the zoo animals. But a big storm(暴风雨) hits their ship at night. Finally, Pi finds the only Survivors(幸存者) are himself and a large tiger called Parker on an 8-meter boat.

    To keep himself alive, Pi has to keep feeding the tiger so that he does not get eaten. He tries to get on well with the tiger during a 227-day sail on the sea.

    The movie is from a Canadian writer Yann Martel's book of the same name. The book has sold 7 million copies world-wide. It discusses not only hope but also relationship(关系) between humans and nature.

    It took Li An four years to make the movie. He also used 3D for his first time. He hopes the movie will “make the people think”. Life of Pi opened in Chinese theaters on November 22, 2012.

    In the morning, Nancy always gets up early and makes breakfast for me. I usually get up at eight and then enjoy breakfast. I eat quickly so I can take a walk with her in the park after breakfast. At nine, we get back home. She cleans her room and then goes to work. I stay at home and play with my ball. When Nancy doesn't work, she takes me to go out to have a good time. When we go somewhere, Nancy usually puts (放) me in a bag. It is easy for her to take me in that way. I live a happy life with Nancy and I love her very much.

    Jamie Feilden has been interested in farms since he was a little child. Now he is planning to pass on his love for farms to students.

    28-year-old Mr Feilden is going to set up a charity (慈善机构). He plans to raise money for students from city schools who would like to visit Jamie's Farm and experience country life.

    Mr Feilden first got the idea for his project when he started working for the Teach First Project after graduating from university in Edinburgh.

    "When I worked in a school in Croydon, I realized the students there had little experience of farm life. Many of the students in the school had never been out of Croydon before. Of course, they had never seen farm animals,"said Mr Feilden. "So I opened up a small farm in the school. It was a real success."

    Mr Feilden once took a group of students back to his hometown. There the students saw many animals. They had lots of fun spending time in the countryside. Since then he has done more work on his own farm project. He even started working for it full time.

    Mr Feilden said, "Living and working in the countryside can give children a chance to eat food produced on the farm. They can also do some gardening, cooking and be with animals there."

    It's December. It's snowing and the weather is really cold in the north of China. You can see many children playing with snow. Some of them are skating on the river because it's so cold that the water in the river freezes (结冰). It's a white world. How beautiful! But in Australia now, the weather is hot.
