    Last week our school hold a sports meeting. Realize it was our last school sports meeting, we decided to make it a unforgettable experience. We first attended the opening ceremony, for whom our class had made a lot of preparations. Much to our excitements, our performance was a success. My classmates participated various events such as running, the high jump and the long jump. Due to the hard training the athletes had done before, and their performance was very impressive.     Yesterday we went to Happiness Nursing House to help the old people. We set out earlier in the morning and brought them lots of gift. When we arrived, we were warmly welcome by them. First we introduced myself. Then we were making dumplings together with the old, talking and laugh. After lunch, we performed and sang songs with them happy. Finally all the old people say goodbye to us at the gate. We were very happy because of we did a good deed. I think this necessary for us teenagers to learn what to respect and take care of others, especially, the old.

    One rainy day while I was walking home with one of my friend, a truck came to a stop besides us. The driver put the window down and offered us a umbrella because he found we were wet through. I stood there and couldn't believe in that a complete stranger is so thoughtful. The man insisted, so I grateful accepted the offer, thanked him and watched the truck disappear down the road. This man might need the umbrella himself, and he preferred to give it to everyone else. It was a lesson to us that it was possible give without expect anything in return.

    Three years before, when I began my senior high school study, I found extremely difficult to learn English well. There are so many new words and grammar rules to keep in mind. Hard although I might try, I still did poor in the English exams. It was the hardest time in my life and I nearly lost my heart and decided to give in when my mother found my problem. She said that whether I wanted to meet the shinning sun on the other sides of the difficulties, I should first have the courage to overcome them and then enjoy the joy of success. In order to prove myself, I studied very harder than ever. At the end of the term I got the highest mark in English.

    On my fourteen birthday, I received lots of presents. Which present is the best in my eye? It's hand-made notebook, that my best friend Jane gave to me. Jane makes it by herself. On each page of the notebook, there's a picture for Jane and me with some words. She either encourages me or tell me how she feels about our friendship. Every time I look at the notebook, I'm touching by something warm. This present is a memory of the wonderfully time we've spent together. I will be keep this special gift forever.

    Yesterday my Chinese teacher asked me recite a poem today in class. I became very anxiously at once because I had never try a poem. Then I realise that if I practised hard, I could succeed. Therefore, I decided to do his best. After I got home, I stayed in my room, spend all my time reading the poem aloud. This morning when the Chinese teachers came in, my heart raced wildly but my face went red. Though I was quite afraid to stand before my classmates, I finally remembered that what to recite. Lucky, I made no mistake at all.
