Life is not easy, but I'd like to say “When anything happens, believe in yourself.”

    When I was young, I was 1 nervous that I couldn't talk to anyone. My classmates often laughed at me. I was 2and couldn't do anything. Later, one thing changed my life. My mother asked me to 3 an English speech contest (比赛). What a(n)4 idea! It meant I had to speak in front of many teachers and students!

    Before Father's Day.I found my father was unhappy because he was out of work.I decided to make him happy by buying him a special Father's Day gift.

    One day after school I 1to the Agins which was known for fashions and styles.I told Agins that I was looking for a Father's Day present.

    “Do you think he'd like a2？”she asked.“I think he may.”I told her.

    She3 a Swiss watch and I told her that I would like it.

    “How much money do you have?”she asked.

    “4dollars.”I replied.

    “You're so lucky!” she told me.“It's only $ 11.You still have $ 1 for the5.”She packed the watch and I thanked for my business.and I rode off home with the gift under my arm.

    When my father opened the gift，he was very6.“Where did you get it?”

    “I bought it at the Agins.It cost me $ 11.”I said.My father was shocked into silence.

    Many years later，the watch cost several hundred dollars，7I appreciated (赞赏) how wonderful Agins had been to me.I always felt regretful (后悔的) that I never had a8 to thank her.

    "I'm worried about you, Jackson", says Thomas. "Your family is 14 than mine. I think you need more food and fruit. The two friends quickly know what happens to them.

    They both laugh happily. "It is15 to have a friend like you," they both say.

    One of the strangest jobs at the Oscars is that of a seat-filler. When one of the1needs to go to the bathroom, a seat-filler2in the star's seat. That way, the TV cameras won't show any3seats. Kathy Muller talks about her night4a seat-filler:

    I was told to reach the theater in the middle of the day, wearing my dress for the evening. There were about 200 seat-fillers, all very excited. We were told5we should and shouldn't do (for example, "Don't talk to the stars"), and then we waited6five o'clock. That's when the stars started coming.

    The7started at six o'clock. We had to stand outside the doors. Then, when8came to go to the bathroom or have a cigarette (香烟), we were told to go and sit in their seat. The show was three hours long, and I only sat down five times. By the end, I was really9but I was happy,10during the evening, I sat behind Jim Carrey (he's very tall!) and close to Denzel Washington, Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts. It was an exciting night, but I think the next year I'll watch the Oscars on TV at home like everyone else!
