    Gao Peng is a nineteen-year-old young man. Two years ago, when he {#blank#}1{#/blank#}middle school, he found work in a shop. Usually he worked {#blank#}2{#/blank#} nine o'clock in the evening. When he got home, he always felt very tired. After a quick supper he went to bed and fell {#blank#}3{#/blank#} .   So he never made any noise and his grandfather was very pleased with him.

    One day he went back from work a little {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . On his way home he met Li Jun, one of his {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . They were both very happy. Gao Peng asked Li Jun to his house, and Li Jun agreed. Li Jun {#blank#}6{#/blank#} some fruit and drink. They talked about their school, their teachers, their classmates and their {#blank#}7{#/blank#} . They talked for a long time.

“Have a look at your watch, please, ”said Li Jun, “ What's the time now? ”

    “Sorry, there is something wrong with my watch, ” said Gao Peng. “ Where is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} ? ”

    “ I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} it at home. ”

    Gao Peng thought for a moment and found a way. He began to jump on the floor.

The sound woke his grandfather up. The old man shouted {#blank#}10{#/blank#} . “ It's twelve o'clock，Gao Peng. Why are you still jumping upstairs？”

Julie: Did you like the singing competition yesterday, Anna?

Anna: Oh, it was{#blank#}1{#/blank#}! Nelly so well!

Julie: Well, I think Lisa sang {#blank#}2{#/blank#} than Nelly.

Anna: Oh, which one was Lisa?

Julie: The one with shorter hair. I think she sang more {#blank#}3{#/blank#} than Nelly.

Anna: Yes, but Nelly dances better than Lisa.

Julie: You can tell that Lisa really wanted to win, though.

Anna: well, everyone {#blank#}4{#/blank#}to win. But the most important thing is to learn{#blank#}5{#/blank#}new and have fun.

    It was lovely to hear from you again and to know that things are going {#blank#}1{#/blank#} with you.

    Thanks for telling me all {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the Chinese Moon Festival. It sounds like you enjoyed a great party in Inner Mongolia (内蒙古) . It makes me think of the festival we took part in {#blank#}3{#/blank#} we traveled in South Africa. The people there kept many goats (山羊) , as well as sheep and cows. Beef was expensive and was only for very {#blank#}4{#/blank#} "times. In all our time there we were {#blank#}5{#/blank#} served beef in the villages, because beef is not usually served to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}

    By the way, I happened to see these pictures and thought you'd like to see {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. A Chinese girl gave Tang Suit to Joan and me when she left school. We {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them on in the university car park. Someone took photos for us though I was wearing my kilt (苏格兰短褶裙) ! It seemed to be {#blank#}9{#/blank#}， different that some suggested that I could start a new look.

    We wore Tang Suit to a dinner which was held on the ship in August when we visited Germany. Some Chinese ladies came and spoke to us. They were interested in my traditional Chinese clothing.
