This is me.  I am short. I like the birds.  This is my father. He is a policeman（警察）.  He is tall.

    Mary is a little girl. She is only four. She is not at school. She can't read or write. But her sister Joan is a schoolgirl. She is ten years old. She can read and write.

    One day, Joan sees her little sister in the room. She is at the table. There is a pencil on her hand. She is writing.

    "What are you writing, Mary?" she asks.

    "I'm writing a letter to my friend Rose."

    "Buy how can you? You can't write," says her sister.

    "Well," says Mary, "it doesn't matter. Rose can't read"

    As we know, in China, Children's Day is on 1st June. Children don't go to school on that day. Parents give their children presents. But not all the Children's Days are on 1st June.

    In the UK, Children's Day is on 14th July. In Japan, children have many Children's Days. Girls' Day is on 3rd March. Boys' Day is on 5th May. Another festival for boys of three or five years old and girls of three or seven years old is on 15th November.

Amy: How are you, John?

John: I'm fine. And you?

Amy: I'm fine, too. Today is Monday. I have two new classmates today.

John: Really? Who are they?

Amy: Lucy and Lily. They are twins(双胞胎).

John: That's interesting. What are they like?

Amy: They are polite and kind.

John: Do you like them?

Amy: Yes, we all like them. We will be good friends.

John: I hope so. Goodbye!
