Duties of a Student

    Education is the very thing that we want to receive. Our parents {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us to school so as to enable (使能够) us to get knowledge and achieve great things in the future. The followings are the duties of a student which we should keep in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Firstly, we should be filial (孝顺的) to our parents and respectful to our {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    Secondly, we must study as {#blank#}4{#/blank#} as we can.

    Thirdly, we must not tell lies.

    Last of all, we must not criticize (苛求) {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

    To sum up, the above-mentioned rules are the very duties of a student.

    Zhao Fei lives in a tall building now．His room is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}and he can play computer games and watch TV after work．{#blank#}2{#/blank#}he still thinks of his life in a small yard(院子)．

    At that time，there{#blank#}3{#/blank#}three other families in the yard．They were{#blank#}4{#/blank#}and

Zhao Fei was happy to play with other children in the yard．There was no TV or computer,but they were able to have lots of{#blank#}5{#/blank#}．

    This is my desk. Two{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  are on it. One is my English book, and the other (另一本) is my math book. You can also see (也能看见){#blank#}2{#/blank#}CDs  on the desk. The CDs are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. My pencil box is on the desk,{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. A pen,{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  eraser and a ruler {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  in it. The pen is black, the{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  is yellow, and the ruler is white.  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  is my pencil? Aha, it's under the desk. Is my computer game  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}the desk，too? No, it isn't. Where is it? I can't{#blank#}10{#/blank#}it in my room.

    Tea culture is different in countries in the world. There are{#blank#}1{#/blank#}ways that are commonly used to make tea, such as white tea, green tea and black tea. And how to prepare tea may be different, too. In some places, people often boil tea with salt and butter. People may drink tea at home or in public, for example, at tea houses. As part of culture tea has a{#blank#}2{#/blank#}with history, health, education, communication and so on.

    In some countries, tea plays an important part in social activities For example, afternoon tea is a British{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Families or friends can communicate with each other while having afternoon tea

    Tea has remained a way of daily life in China and drinking tea has a lot of advantages. It makes people less tired and helps to clear heat in the human body. Chinese people are also good at using tea to cook some{#blank#}4{#/blank#}dishes. Tea eggs and tea shrimps are among the most popular ones.

    If you visit the animal shelter (收容所) in Salinas, California, you'll see huge signs that have a picture of a dog and a cat on them. These {#blank#}1{#/blank#} are put in front of the shelter to catch people's attention. The signs {#blank#}2{#/blank#} people interested in the shelter and encourage them to visit it and maybe even take a cat or a dog into their homes.

    Each year, the shelter accepts thousands of dogs and cats. The animals are{#blank#}3{#/blank#} lost ones or left by people who can't take care of {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Of all the animals, some of them are taken into new homes. Some {#blank#}5{#/blank#} are moved to other shelters. And, unluckily, some cannot be saved because they are too sick or are thought to be dangerous.

    Animal shelters {#blank#}6{#/blank#} food, medicine, and safe places for animals. But they are not the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} homes. The animals stay in small cages (笼子). The people who work at shelters do their best {#blank#}8{#/blank#} for the animals, but the animals do not always get the attention or exercise they need.

    To prevent animals from becoming homeless, pet owners should take good care of their pets. Most pet doctors also suggest people make {#blank#}9{#/blank#} their pets have a special surgery (外科手术). It {#blank#}10{#/blank#} animals from having more babies. And that reduces (减少) the number of homeless animals.
