Njobati, a young woman from Cameroon, faced a challenging journey when she moved from her English-speaking area to a French-speaking area of the country to attend university. The sharp differences between these areas, once part of the British and French empires, made it difficult for her to fit in, which led her to examine her own identity—who she truly was. 

Seeking guidance, she turned to her grandfather who also felt disconnected from his own culture. He expressed sadness about what the Nso had lost both culturally and materially, including Ngonnso statue. Ngonnso was the founder of Nso dating back to the 14th Century, whose statue was an important cultural symbol for the Nso. However, it was taken by the Germans in 1902 and has been housed in Berlin's Ethnological Museum ever since.

Inspired by her grandfather's desire and saddened by the loss of culture, Njobati made a promise to bring back the statue. She believed it would not only achieve her grandfather's wish but connect her with her Nso heritage again.

Njobati did many researches about the statue and former unsuccessful attempts. She realized that restitution ( 归还) was actually about facing the colonial ( 殖民主义的) past. Njobati decided to try differently. To gather support online and offline, Njobati began a grassroots campaign. She organized meetings in community halls and churches, met people one-on-one, and used the power of social media. Through Twitter, she established contact with the Ethnological Museum. 

Njobati's tireless efforts paid off. She was told that a decision about Ngonnso statue was coming, which was an important moment for her.

"Finally, this is happening. Not just for me, but for the Nso people, and for Cameroon, " She cried. "This also lends a hand to other communities that are seeking justice for stolen culture relics. "

On October 13, a small plane flying to Chile accidentally crashed into a mountain in the Andes. How some of the passengers 1 to live is one of the greatest survival stories ever told. 

The survivors stayed inside the remains of the plane, using seat covers for blankets, and waited for a 2 that never came. Days turned into weeks. It was urgent to find a way to 3 . Three of the passengers—Canessa, Parrado, and Vizintin volunteered to 4 through the mountains to search for help. When they left, each man wore5 clothes: three pairs of socks, a plastic bag around each foot to keep the water out, boots, four pairs of trousers and four sweaters. Many of the clothes came from those who died in the crash. The three men 6 that they would survive and bring back help. 

For part of the first day, they were glad to make some 7 . But as the land and weather changed, climbing became 8 . After several days, they reached what they thought was the top. They had imagined this moment for days. On the other side of the top, they hoped, would be a valley leading down and out of the mountains. However, they saw the same snow-covered tops. All hope wasn't 9 . Although they were still in the middle of the mountains, Parrado 10 two low tops far away that didn't have snow. If they got there, they would be out of the Andes. 

Within the following days, they walked towards the two low tops. Little by little, the landscape began to change. Snow 11 completely, and flowers were everywhere. "This is the valley," Canessa said. "This is the way out." Then things of humanity started to appear—a few cans on the ground, some farm animals in a field. By December 21, the extremely

12 men made it to the town of Los Maitenes, and a rescue team was sent immediately to search for the survivors who were still high in the Andes. 

Finally all of the remaining survivors were 13 . The memories of the crash in the Andes would be with them forever, but for now, their terrible 14 was over. They had made it out—15 .

After making waves in the fashion industry{#blank#}9{#/blank#}a male model in his late 70s, the then 85-year-old Wang was once again defying stereotypes concerning the elderly by taking {#blank#}10{#/blank#} a new challenge: getting a pilot's license.

Though new term had begun for weeks, the new girl Molly still remained 1 around her classmates. Now she was sitting at the picnic table alone. She seemed unsure of what to do or say, yet I could see her eyes longing for 2 .

Brianna, the class clown, was standing near the playground making the other students laugh, as usual. "Brianna, Molly looks awfully 3 . Would you invite her to join us?" I said.

Torrie, 16, and her friend Azarria were driving back home when another car hit them. When Torrie opened her eyes, she 1 their car had been pushed into a tree. There came 2 from the gathering crowd as the car was smoking. Torrie's door wouldn't open, but her window became an escape 3 .

"Everyone ran away, fearing the car was going to 4 . But turning around, I didn't see Azarria. I ran back and saw she was 5 in the back seat. I decided to help her out of the 6 ."

"I didn't know how I made it. I just became stronger at that moment," she says. She 7 a bystander to call 911 and started CPR.

After 30 chest compressions and two rescue breaths, Azarria began to show 8 of life. Just then, the paramedics 9 to rush Azarria to the nearest hospital.

10 for both girls, their Lakewood High School offers a First-Aid Skills class taught by Erika Miller. Torrie had earned her 11 in the class just the day before this accident.

"I was absolutely astonished," Erika says. "In my years of teaching, I never 12 a student would finish the course and in 24 hours have to 13 CPR on her friend."

"I was grateful to Torrie, but I wasn't surprised." Azarria says. "She would have done that for anyone. That's 14 just of her.

"First-aid training should be a(n) 15 in schools," Torrie says. "It can make a difference between life and death."

Sullivan calls her right arm her "little arm". The 10-year-old was born with that arm less than half the 1 size. She has no elbow and tiny fingers to 2 things. However, it never discouraged her. This 3 kid could always find a way to make that little arm 4 for her. Until recently, riding a bike has proved out of her reach. But that might soon change 5 some college students.

Sullivan's grandparents saw a local news about Siena College students making a prosthetic (假肢的) hand for a little girl using the school's 3D printer. They went to see if her granddaughter could be a 6 for a new arm like that girl. However, there was a 7 when the grandparents asked if the college group could help Sullivan, as the design was for limbs (肢体) 8 an elbow or wrist.

Fortunately, Kristin, a junior engineering major said yes. She and her team couldn't 9 a perfect solution, but they promised to try. They met Sullivan from time to time to measure and test the design, 10 the initial plans to fit Sullivan's little arm. They've worked for almost a year to build Sullivan a solution. The task has been one of 11 and creativity,12 by kindness. "Sometimes you get 13 , but she is so excited," Kristin said. "Her motivation and her strength, 14 our team along."

On May 4, Sullivan received her arm. She also received a(n) 15 surprise: a new bike.
