For nearly two decades, a thin, sun-burnt postal worker could frequently be seen carrying packages along a dangcrous mountain trail in the Taihang Mountains.

The 10-kilometer-long route, which is between 20 centimeters and 1 meter wide, is known as the "cat road" by locals, meaning that it is so dangerous that only cats could walk on it. Whereas, Zhao Yuefang, a postal worker in Ewu township in Huguan county, Shanxi province, had to walk the route every day to deliver mail.

Every day at the crack of dawn, he would start his journey along the "cat road". From picking up the day's post to delivering it to villagers and returning along the same route, it took Zhao four days. During rainy and snowy seasons, the mountain road, part of which hugs the cliffs, would become slippery and dangerous. One day in the winter of 2003, the "cat road" was covered in thick snow and he slipped off the trail. Fortunately, he was able to stop his sharp descent by grabbing a tree branch and slowly managed to climb to safety.

By 2012, Zhao had walked more than 300,000 km and delivered over 800,000 pieces of mail. Born and raised in the deep mountains, Zhao truly understands the significance of mail deliveries to villagers. "They depend on the mail to keep in touch with the outside world," he said. "Their sheer joy written on their face while receiving any post struck me," he added.

In 2012, a 67-km-long tourist highway was built and gone were those days when Zhao risked his life to walk on the "cat road". But Zhao was even busier than before. "The number of packages I handle daily now exceeds the number I used to deal with in the past," said Zhao, adding that villagers are turning to online shopping and ordering more and more goods by post.

I was a lecturer for 10 years when I met my greatest teacher. It wasn't in a 1 but in a hospital. She was my daughter Kelsey.

She was born with congenital cerebral palsy（先天性脑瘫). At four, she still 2 to tie her shoes. It was 3 for her. After three years of 4 , Kelsey made it. Her accomplishment taught me that pace wasn't going to be crucial—achieving goals according to her own 5matters most.

At age 5, she won a battle against cancer. Kelsey 6 through creative play. In the hospital, the game was always "restaurant" with her playing waitress and the rest of us 7 as customers. She enjoyed herself in the 8 for several hours 9 , as if we weren't in the hospital at all. At home, the play turned to "hospital." Her game included medical terms even we adults didn't understand. We'd just play along as she 10 herself in her roles.

At six, she wished to take ballet lessons. I'm embarrassed to admit how much this 11 me. I wasn't just afraid for her body, but for her 12 .

I worried about the 13 she might get from the class. But she wouldn't 14 and the expectation in her eyes 15 all the drawbacks, so we enrolled her in a ballet school.

Kelsey danced with 16 ! Did she fall? Of course. Was she awkward? Very. But she was completely 17 by her situation. The sheer joy of dancing was enough. After four years, she 18 to horse riding. This time, I signed her up without 19 .

Now a seventh grader, Kelsey continues to embrace her life and teach us invaluable 20 about persistence and the power we could never have otherwise.

The Chinese Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu is often called the sage(圣人) of poetry. Unlike Li Bai, this poet wrote in various styles, and his works were often innovative(创新的) in language and subject matter. His poems were also filled with meaning. 

His innovation was not at all welcome. The readers of his time rarely showed much appreciation of his original and innovative works. The masses in fact hated and scolded them. Like many artists, Du Fu was only recognised for his genius long after his death. 

Du Fu was born in Luoyang, Henan Province. Although he came from an influential literary family, his early attempts to gain a position in the government by way of the exam system failed repeatedly. He was 43 years old when he finally managed to hold an official position. This was the time when Emperor Xuanzong was attracted to the beautiful Yang Yuhuan and made her his concubine(妃子), which Du Fu severely criticised in his Song of the Beautiful Ladies. 

As the emperor got distracted from important government affairs, some military leaders were becoming too powerful. Du Fu took office in 755, and in the same year a rebel(叛乱) leader An Lushan led his army into the capital of Tang Dynasty. The emperor fled to the west and left the governing of the state to his son. Du Fu and his family took the road north to escape the rebels. 

The poet left his family and tried to get to the headquarters of the new emperor, but he was caught and held prisoner by the rebels in Chang'an. After order was restored again, Du Fu got back his position in the capital. However, he did not enjoy the favour of the new emperor and was given a minor provincial post. In 759 he finally left this disgraceful position and spent the rest of his life wandering around the country.

During the second year in high school,Ben Cloud took a few business classes.He 1 an idea of selling his own brand of coffee.So he 2 on the Internet and learned about all of the 3 of starting a business.It all seemed 4 but he continued to stick it out.

He began testing different 5 of coffee with his friends and family.He got feedback and improved his product.As he had only a little bit of 6 from his birthdays and odd jobs over the years,he 7 several designers to help him with his logo and website design.Then,he would supply them with coffee in 8 for their design talent! 

After 9 his website,Ben started to sell his coffee at his local high school coffee shop.Then a restaurant.Then local shops.He does have plans to 10 nationally as well.And Ben also made a decision early on to 11 a portion of his profits to benefit others.Meanwhile,Ben received great support from his friends and his community for his 12 and energy.And his good coffee! 

Looking to the 13 beyond his business,he is considering college in a way that will allow him to continue with his business but also 14 from a college experience and learning.Ben Cloud is a 15 example of a young person making every effort to become the best version of himself.

In his book, Intentional Living, author John Maxwell shares that back in 1976, he received a gift from one of his {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (assist). As he unwrapped the gift, he saw that it was a book {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (name) The Greatest Story Ever Told. He couldn't wait {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (read) it.

But when he opened the book he was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (astonish) to see that the pages were blank. Inside the book was {#blank#}5{#/blank#} note that said, "John, your life is before you. Fill these pages with kind acts and good thoughts of your heart. Write a great story about your life." The intention of writing the story of his life excited him. Then, he {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (begin) to write his book.

Every day we live out our story through our words, actions and decisions. But we must remember to live with intention to focus on what {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (matter) most in life and to regain that focus when we get changed. Without intention, we can become unfocused in things {#blank#}8{#/blank#} needn't add to a life of significance and difference in our world.

Life isn't perfect and it's always hard, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} we need reminders in our life from a friend, author, blogger, pastor or our inner spirit to re-focus us on the things that matter and make us live {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (positive).

Faye and Matthew Gooding and their five young sons appear to have perfect lives. Mrs. Gooding 1 beautiful photos of life in their four-bedroom house on Instagram(一种社交软件), and more than 32, 000 people 2 them. For the couple themselves, 3 , this "materially(物质地) perfect world" was lacking something—so now they are giving up all their 4 to travel around the world with their kids.

This was the last Christmas that the couple spent in their house, which has already been sold. Most of their belongings are 5 too. Shortly their Ford car will be sold and the family will take just one backpack each.

Mrs. Gooding said: "Some friends and family think Matt and I are 6 to be giving up so much. It's been difficult giving up so many possessions. Yet 7 enjoying spending time with the boys, I found myself cleaning the house all day before. The older ones were at school and I thought, 'I 8 see them'. I admitted how I felt to Matt. He agreed it felt as if our lives moved around 9 things—both of us working to 10 the mortgage(贷款) and keep ourselves in our materially perfect world."

    They will leave this month and plan to start their 11 in Sweden where they have friends.

Mr. Gooding added: "People have said 'aren't you worried about stability and safety?'— 12 as we have five small children. It is a (an) 13 because we are giving up so much. But we can't wait to spend more time with our sons without the 14 of everyday routines. We don't know what will happen, but we do know if we didn't do this we would always 15 it."
