Picture this: You're searching the Internet and see a website with interesting articles. Some are news stories.Their goal is to share information. Others only look like news stories. They're actually advertisements, or ads.The goal of an ad is to get you to buy something. How do the reader tell the difference between a news story and an ad?

Back when I was growing up, it was easier. We got most of our information from newspapers. Big news stories appeared on the front page, and ads were boxed off(分隔) and clearly marked. But on the Internet, the two are often shown together. It can be hard to tell which is which.

That's why the research group I direct did a study. My research team showed kids the home page of a popular magazine. We asked them to tell us what was a news story and what was an ad.

Most were great at telling certain kinds of ads. "It has a coupon(优惠券) code, a big company logo, and the words 'limited time offer'," one student wrote about an ad on the site. So where did kids get stumped(难倒)？

Some ads seem similar to real news stories. They have headlines and have information. But they may also include the words "sponsored content". Sponsored means "paid for," and content refers to the information in the story. "Sponsored content" is a way of saying that something is an ad. Most kids in our study, even if they used the Internet often, didn't know this.

Something sponsored doesn't necessarily mean it's not true. It means someone paid money for it to appear. Companies pay so that readers will see their stories, buy their products, and like what the company stands for.

As a reader, you have a right to know who's behind the information you're consuming(消费). So, look for the phrase sponsored content. (And look carefully. Sometimes, it will be written in very small letters.) The Internet is a big sea of information. To use it well, we not only have to know how to swim but also how to avoid the sharks.

Future City is a project- based learning (基于学习的) program. It starts with a question-- how can we make the world a better place? To answer it, 6th, 7th and 8th- grade students try to think up good ideas to a citywide problem to build cities of the future.

Future City started in the USA. It has a history of about 30 years. Students work as a team to design (设计) a city 100 years later in the future. Each year, Future City has a theme. Teams will think about good solutions according to(根据) it.

Future City plays an important role in improving students' interest in science, technology(科技), engineering, art, and math (STEAM for short). Because during the program, students do the things as engineers do. For example, first, they should make clear of problems, and then come up with new ideas. Next, they work together to solve them. After testing, retesting, and building, finally, they share their results in four to five ways such as making models or giving papers and so on.

A highly expected video game based on classic Chinese novel came out worldwide on Aug20,making gamers around the world excited.

The game, Black Myth(黑神话）:Wukong,was inspired by the rich Chinese folk(民间） stories and the 16th-century novel Journey to the West(西游记）,one of the four great classic novels of China.

＂To create a fascinating Chinese story, we also looked to many Chinese classics, taking ideas from their stories,characters and monsters, such as The Classic of Mountains and Seas(《山海经》）and The investiture of the Gods(《封神演义》）. They all inspired the making of the game,"creator Feng Ji said.

In the game, players will step into the shoes of the iconic Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King,and travel to different places, from green forests to dark caves. During the journey, players use Wukong's powerful stick and ability to solve problems and beat special enemies.

It is China's first 3A game, meaning it has high-quality graphics(画面），a rich story,and exciting fighting.The game's production team traveled across China and scanned ancient buildings and relics(遗迹).It put the creations and historical relics into every scene of the game. What's more, the game uses traditional Chinese instruments such as the guzheng, bowls,wooden clappers and gongs. Much of the music is made using Chinese-style chord(和弦）。

 This game is a great example of the talent and creativity of Chinese game developers. As the game continues to gain popularity, it is expected to further spread Chinese culture and help Chinese game stand on the global stage.

Most Americans eat three meals(餐) a day. They have breakfast in the morning, a simple lunch at noon and a big meal in the evening. They often eat breakfast and lunch in a hurry. For lunch they have hamburgers or sandwiches and they drink some fruit juice or coffee. Sometimes they have lunch in a fast food restaurant (快餐店). They can have a quick lunch there. They have more time for dinner. They often eat a nice and big dinner. They have soup(汤), beef, chicken, salad, fish and some bread. They also drink milk, fruit juice, coffee, tea or wine. They have dessert like pie, cakes and ice-cream.
