    Are you afraid of failure? However, only by overcoming fear of failure can we achieve success in life. Here are some tips on how to remove fear and focus on success:

    Understand that at times you make mistakes. Before any of us learned how to walk, we crawled(爬行). We got up, fell down and got up again. We continued the process until we could walk quite well.

    Instead, view it as a stepping stone. Make certain that you learn from failure and then use what you have learned in future situations. Refuse to consider failure a character weakness. Doing so will only prevent you from achieving future success.

    Remember that failure has produced many successes. Albert Einstein's teacher told him to quit school and said, “Einstein, you will never achieve anything!” Beethoven's music teacher said he was hopeless to become a composer(作曲家). Henry Ford's first two car companies failed.

    Appreciate the benefits of failure. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “All life is an experiment. The more experiments you try, the better you make.” It's hardly possible for someone to achieve success for the first time he tries.

    Believe in yourself. Rather than give up when things don't work out, take it as a chance to build perseverance(坚持不懈). Remind yourself how many failures became successful because they wouldn't give up.

A. Don't take failure personally.

B. Work hard and try to avoid(避免) failure.

C. Realize that you are human and humans make mistakes.

D. Believe that you've got what it takes to work through the difficult times.

E. Making the same mistake again can lead to the failure in your future work.

F. Consider how many people in history had failed before they became successful.

G. In other words, your chances of getting things right on the first try are little.

Walking to the market in this city,I was surprised because every house was beautiful,and they were all arranged in good order. In Korea's cities,most houses are not like that,and many apartments are like boxes which often screen off beautiful views like hills and mountains. Also,every road is not straight and narrow.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}It was a very small market,but a very interesting one. I don't know why farmers go there to sell vegetables or why people go there to buy them because there are many more products in large supermarkets.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Also ,all the things sold there were very novel. In addition to fresh food,there was homemade food and many other things such as woolen blankets,quilts ,and wooden products.

    Why is setting goals important? Because goals can help you do, be, and experience everything you want in life{#blank#}1{#/blank#} goals allow yourself to make your life happen.

    Successful and happy people have a vision of how their life should be and they set lots of goals (both short-term and long-range) to help them reach their vision. By setting goals you are taking control of your life{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} They decide what they want in life and then get there by making plans and setting goals. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident. Goals aren't difficult to set, and they aren't difficult to reach{#blank#}4{#/blank#} You are the one who must decide what to pursue and in what direction to aim your life.

    Research tells us that when we write a goal down we are more likely to achieve it. Written goals can be reviewed regularly, and have more power{#blank#}5{#/blank#} they are harder to neglect or forget. Also when you write your goals in a particular way you are able to make yourself continuously aware of situations that will bring you nearer to your goals.

A. Like a contract with yourself

B. Instead of just letting life happen to you

C. Winners in life set goals and follow through on them

D. It's like having a map to show you where you want to go

    It is important for everyone to learn how to apologize effectively. You might think a simple “I'm sorry.” will take care of everything.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} There are some situations in which you need to apologize properly.

    Apologize truly.

    Apologizing through a half-hearted “sorry” will get you nowhere.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. If you are really want to apologize, you must do it truly. Accept the fact that you are wrong.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Contrary to what you might think, apologizing over and over again isn't going to help, especially you are apologizing to someone who is your boss.

    Don't wait too long to apologize.

    One piece of advice on how to apologize effectively is to do it as soon as you realize your mistake. Some people put off giving an apology because they think it will save them from the offended(被冒犯的) person's anger. However, that's just not polite. If you can't approach the person personally at once, send him or her a message first.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Don't expect too much.

    You can't expect that person to forgive you immediately. If you are going to apologize, you have to be prepared for the worst. The conversation isn't going to be the most comfortable one either.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Learning how to apologize effectively is very important. It shows people that you are a very kind person.

A.Don't apologize again and again.

Four simple ways to stay positive

    Trying to stay positive, both in good times and bad, is a great way to improve your quality of life. Try these four methods on a daily basis.

    ⒈Don't think a lot about negativity.

    Of course, staying positive 24 hours a day, seven days a week is a bit difficult. Letting things get to you is normal, and it's actually healthy to cry or express frustrations once in a while.

    It's when those negative moments control your life that your emotional balance is at risk. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} However, don't give that sadness another second in your day.

    ⒉{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    What you put into your body directly affects how you feel on the outside. Fill yourself with good, healthy foods like fruits and vegetables and limit snacking. Exercise is equally of great importance. Take a few days out of your week for at least half an hour of activity, and try to stick to a routine. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    ⒊Be kind to others.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Making someone's day a bit brighter not only puts a smile on his or her face, but also yours as well. Remember to smile and treat each person with pity and respect. Good deeds are contagious (传染的) , and your positive attitude may spread among others.

    ⒋Take it one day at a time.

    Being positive isn't an instant thing. It's a steady effort that we follow every hour of every day. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Instead, focus on living in the moment and doing what you can to make each moment better.

A. Eat healthily and stay fit.

B. Take your lunch breaks outside.

C. Don't worry about what the future may bring.

D. Gratitude helps you appreciate life in bad times.

E. Take a few minutes to feel sad and accept what happened.

F. Good feelings come from acts of kindness and selflessness.

G. Even going outside for a walk and enjoying the sunshine improves your mood.

Moving to a new country—or even spending a year abroad—is an exciting experience. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Making friends in a new country is one of them. Here are some suggestions.

Network through personal connections. Most people don't jump at the chance to show a stranger around town, but that changes as soon as you make a personal connection—even a tiny one. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Until you do, you'll never know if your former classmate's brother's best friend lives around the corner.

Join a hobby club or a sports team. Committing to a weekly hobby meet up is a great way to force yourself to socialize. There are always hiking clubs looking for teammates. You don't have to master the local language to find partners. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} What you need to do is make an effort to start conversations or sign up for exercise classes.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Feeling lonely isn't just about not having weekend plans; it can make us feel like we don't matter to the people around us. Join an organization that helps homeless people or helps out animal shelters. You'll feel good about yourself and find an immediate sense of connection.

Talk to strangers. When you're the stranger in town, it's easy to feel awkward and out of place. The more you push past that, the more you'll find that almost everyone enjoys meeting new people. Talking about where you come from and what the weather is like is the first step to get to know someone.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A.Volunteer for a good cause.

B.However,it has its challenges,too.

C.So practice your small talk and use it often.

D.These are great places to meet outgoing strangers.

E.Ask friends back home if they know anyone in your area.

F.Every trip out of the house is a chance to meet the right person.

G.Exercising in a gym is another way to meet people with similar interests.
