Theme Parks

    Parks provide people{#blank#}1{#/blank#} a place to amuse{#blank#}2{#/blank#} for a while. In recent decades, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, many parks have been designed to provide{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (entertain). We call them theme parks. Then new parks are usually huge places and have a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} of things to see and do. Theme Parks have a certain theme—that the whole parks are based {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (old) theme park in the world is Disneyland. It seemed like a magical world which can make your dream come true. But if you are interested in traditional culture and history, go to Dollywood, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} you can have fun {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (learn) all about America's historical southeastern culture, then you can go to Camelot Park, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} world of fantasy about ancient England.

    Change is much easier when you have many supporting partners and unlimited resources. But, since it is often the shock of a death, divorce or some other life tragedy that {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(push) us out of our comfort zone to take care of ourselves, it can mean{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(force) to start to be independent, which for many of us is the scariest part of all.

    Probably the most difficult thing about seeking significant change is doing it {#blank#}3{#/blank#}you don't have financial or emotional tools available to make the process go {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(smooth). But sometimes reaching our full potential means working without {#blank#}5{#/blank#}safety net. For those truly {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(devote) to their mission, having fewer resources can be a surprising blessing as it forces them to get {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(create)and explore new paths.

    I don't know if it's possible to leave this world{#blank#}8{#/blank#}zero regrets. Because of the natural life cycles and the fact that sometimes it's the tragedy that causes our awakenings, we often realize it too late to avoid certain painful {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(outcome).

    Please keep in mind that the choice belongs to each of us. We all have the power to change and give more intentional {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(direct) to the remainder of our lives.

    There was once a small boy who would never get dressed when his parents told him to,{#blank#}1{#/blank#} would he wear what they wanted him to. He preferred unusual clothes, but above all, he liked taking his time. His parents were always in a rush, and wanted him to be much{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(quick), but the boy didn't like this, and he would slow down even more.

    One day, his parents got so angry when he refused to dress that they told him to go out without any clothes at all.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (surprise), the boy followed his parents out of the door. He held a belief {#blank#}4{#/blank#}nobody could do anything to him.

    As the boy stood outside his house with nothing on,{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (wait) for his parents's car, along came the local pig farmer. The farmer,{#blank#}6{#/blank#} was almost deaf, had very poor eyesight. Not only that, but also he {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(forget) his glasses that day. When he saw the boy's pink skin, he thought it was one of his pigs. Shouting and pushing, the farmer forced{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(he) into a pig cage. The boy begged him to stop but the deaf farmer couldn't hear.

    When found by his parents, the terrified boy never again wanted to be mistaken{#blank#}9{#/blank#} anything other than a human being. Now he's the first {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (get) dressed, and always looks neat.

    The importance of punctuality (守时) in our daily lives{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) obvious. It affects both the individual (个 人) and the workplace.

    On {#blank#}2{#/blank#} whole, the workplace operates more smoothly when employees are punctual. For example, when everyone is on time for a meeting, the meeting will start smoothly as it{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (schedule). Punctuality may help you achieve advancement. Research shows that managers are less{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (like) to promote late employees.

    Lack of punctuality affects the people in the workplace. It may lead to anger, as colleagues who are on time compare{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (they) with late-comers. Being late throws you out of the group, as you may miss important{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(inform). This causes a harmful division among employees. Leaders affect the entire workplace. When leaders are late, it sends an irresponsible message to employees{#blank#}7{#/blank#} may decrease their work enthusiasm. Lateness leads to stress, and stress brings{#blank#}8{#/blank#} poor workplace performance. Being consistently late may cause you {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(start) believing your lateness is acceptable. When this happens, you begin to blame outside circumstances and lose focus on potential solutions. To make matters{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (bad), constant lateness can eventually make you lose your job.

    The other day my father drove me to school as usual. When we arrived it began to rain {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(heavy) but we only had one raincoat. My father insisted I {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(wear) it. Even though I would rather my father {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(put) it on, I didn't insist because I knew it would put him in a bad temper. Anyway, I did my best to use my raincoat to prevent him {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(get) wet. I was so moved by his sacrifice that I cried.

    The rain reminded me {#blank#}5{#/blank#} how much my father loved me. When I was in primary school, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(perform) poorly in tests but my father always encouraged me. Sometimes I want to join clubs or go on school trips. He always supports me since he thinks such activities are beneficial to me, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} I can {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(broad) my horizons.

    Though I love my father, I am at {#blank#}9{#/blank#} loss how to show it. Many students have the same problem. We love and care for our parents, but we don't know {#blank#}10{#/blank#}we can do to help them.
