When you hear the word "shower", what to your mind? Maybe it is "a lot of falling water" in the bathroom. But "shower" can also "a lot of falling presents" on a special day. On a special day, we might shower someone with gifts.
My family is going to have two showers this week. On Tuesday, we are going to have a baby shower. My brother's wife is going to have a baby soon. So my family and friends will come with a lot of for the baby.
Then on Thursday, we will have a bridal (新娘的) shower for my sister. She is getting married week. She will be a beautiful bride. All her female friends and relatives are coming to before she marries. They will give her a lot of presents for her married life.
I want to tell you about a very exciting holiday I had. Last December I went to the Ice Hotel with my father. It was in a village of Sweden.
It was a special hotel made of ice and snow. I read an interesting report about this hotel in a travel magazine and I showed it to my father. He was so excited that we decided to go.
It was like a dream. We were so surprised. Everything was made of ice. A woman at the door gave us special coats and gloves. We could use them to protect ourselves in the very cold place. There was a garden at the hotel. There we saw a lot of nice sculptures (雕塑). Some artists came to the Ice Hotel and they made them with ice. In the evening we ate at the hotel restaurant. They put the food on ice plates. We had some fantastic fish and a delicious dessert. Of course, it was ice cream!
There was a nice shop there too. I bought a sweater and a cap, but I didn't buy many things because they were very expensive. In the shop, I met a girl named Catherine. She is from France. She wanted to buy a sweater, but she didn't speak English, so I helped her. We became friends. Yesterday I got an email from her with several photos she took at the hotel. It was really a fantastic holiday.

Most people work until they are 60 or 65 years old. Then they retire (退休) and have a lot of spare time. Some people n retire though. These people usually have very interesting jobs. Writers, artists, musicians and actors usually work until they die. Their work is their life.
When we talk about "health and wealth"，different people have different ideas about it. Some think that wealth means everything. To them，wealth or having a lot of money can help them to do what they want to do. With a lot of money, they can buy beautiful houses，expensive cars，beautiful clothes，and so on. They even have the idea that they can buy happiness which they like.
On the other hand, some other people don't agree with those people above. They believe that health is more important than wealth. First，you can enjoy a happier life with a healthy body than those wealthy people with poor health. Second，you can't succeed without good health. Third，a healthy body is also necessary for a successful career or making money.
Money can't help you buy everything，especially health, so keep healthy first if you want to become rich. It is well known that a person can make a lot of money if he has the right chance during his life. But if the person suffers from terrible illness，then no matter how much money he may make，he will still lead a bad life. Therefore，health is much more important than wealth.
